okay
The center masonry bit is worthless. Buy a better quality 1/4" masonry bit, otherwise you'll be there all day drilling through the granite to even get started. Once the guide bit is in, it doesn't take too long to drill a hole in 3/4" granite. Go slow and use water, so you don't crack the granite. If your granite is 1" thick or more, I would get a better core bit than this. It's really only good for one hole, and don't assume you can go through your stainless steel sink with it; it won't happen. For that, get a step bit.

Cut right through stone
Very nice. But use water. It works better. And, you'll not wear the cutting surface as fast. I used this to drill a 2" deep hole in Tennessee gray stone for a 3/4" pvc pipe that will service a concrete fountain. It's way better than a bit I bought from Home Depot. I used an M12 Milwaukee cordless drill and it had plenty rpm and power.

Good product
I was concerned with all the bad drill bits. The bit cut through my 3/4" granite table top with no problem, I used a 1.25" plywood as a guide to hold the bit in place and placed an ice cube in the center to keep it wet. removed the center drill bit. Would by this product again than the higher cost bits for a one time use....

Cut like "Butter" through Silestone
I burned through a bit bought at a local big box retailer before I went with this tool. It cut a perfect hole in my silestone counter in minutes. How did I do it?I created a ring of plumbers putty and had the faucet provide a constant run of water into ring of plumbers putty. I put this bit on my cordless drill and drilled away. Like "Butter".

Diamond core drill bit
Worked very well. I recommend it. I suggest that you remove the center drill bit once the outer diamond hole saw bit has made a slight depression in the material. This saves time and your drill. I also used a hammer drill with slight pressure. Use water as the bit gets very hot.

Worked like a charm
I bought this to core three holes through 3/4" granite for a faucet. Worked like a charm! I kept a trickle of water on it and the bit never even got warm. I didn't use the center drill because I know those never work. I simply made a jig out of some extra hardi backer. Great purchase, well worth the $30 bucks, plus I'm sure i'll use it again in the future. I also ended up using the outside of the bit to grind some radius tiles for around the drain.

Post not centered!!!
Right out of the box, the bit was not centered on the post. I reset it in the drill chuck countless times. I removed the pilot bit and tested the rotation of the hole saw. The problem was in the post.It is one-piece construction. It was the result of poor production quality control. I had to drill a hole in granite, 3/4" from the sink edge. Easy to crack. The wobbly bit went in the garbage after wasting 1 1/2 hrs trying to get it set correctly. Shouldn't have to do that with a brand new drill bit.

BUY IT
Awsome hole saw. I used it on my quartz counter. Worked great. Great quality. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. None of the big stores carry anything this nice.
