Bought these for my bug out bag and to carry in my vehicle's emergency gear. You never know when you might need to throw a couple of stitches in a bad cut and these are super handy to have.

Medical equipment such as forceps and scissors cost a lot of money - I recently had a small bandage cut off at a medical center, and the nurse commented that the scissors cost $80 each and only worked for two or three days before they were too dull to cut properly. I asked if the scissors were resharpened, and the nurse said no, they were simply thrown away.So, for a bit over $20, this suture kit comes with tools, sterile thread and needles, and a zippered case, as well as the caution that it was for practice only - a legal requirement.The kit includes s surgical training scissors, two types of forceps, a needle holder, a scalpel handle and blades, and four types of suture thread. Also the needles, of course.The case is small enough to fit in a backpack or auto first aid kit. I hope I never need it, but I will have it if I do.

I bought this as a field suture kit but when I opened one of the sutures the needle was so tiny I could hardly see it. I started the return. Then I tried to find a clinical use suture and kept ending up with the same product so I give up. I'll keep this and instead buy some kind of magnifying glasses to keep in my field kit.
