Great for therapy

I have recently (re)started lap swimming in serious way swimming an hour (or more) and typically a mile or more all free style. I am in my late 60s and am 6' tall and weigh about 154 lbs. Having never used hand paddles before I opted for these inexpensive and smaller paddles thinking that as they were for adults and younger swimmers that they would be ok. The quality seems fine and they work well enough, but they are a (good) bit small for my hand. Even with this small size they do indeed provide enough extra catch to provide enough the extra work out one might seek. My issue is that they "feel" small too small in the hand as my fingers often go over the edge. For this reason I just ordered a pair of "HIKEEN" paddles in the medium size. Additionally the HIKEEN paddles have a wrist strap which these lack. I expect that the extra strap while not absolutely necessary will be appreciated. My advice to all is to examine your hand carefully and think about what size might "feel" right for you, both from a physical size perspective and from the load a larger size would put on your shoulders. Don't over do it is advice I have been given. Good luck.

There is a sleeve for my middle finger and 2 straps that cross my hand. These hold the paddles on securely. The first one is easy to get on but with that hand restrained by the paddle, it is slightly difficult to put the 2nd one on. They do a good job helping me swim and provide considerable more propulsion than my bare hands. Because the paddle straps hold my hands snuggly to the paddle, my fingers get a bit sore. I am limiting their use to 500 yards per day and hope my fingers toughen up.

These work okay for water aerobics, but they tend to slip down my fingers during exercise. I have to keep sliding my fingers back to the original position.

Excellent product for swimming.
