It’s not too bad. Kids love to dunk their chicken nuggets in it for some flavor.

Yeah I never review anything but I will today. Seeing as how I can’t be getting my money back, I’ll save you yours. The packaging is bad. It’s not vaccuum sealed so naturally it’s leaking out when you get it. A lot of product spilled out and it smells horrible. As someone who loves scotch bonnet, nothing about the fragrance is aromatic or peppery. My nose should be stinging from the potency. I could get more from a 2.00 bag at the grocery store. I’m so very disappointed. I won’t consume something that is so poorly packaged, it’s hard to tell if it’s supposed to smell that way or if the odor in the bag is just from it spoiling. Would have loved to have a fresh jar to know for sure.Hope this helps.

I love scotch bonnet peppers more so than our standard habanero that can be found everywhere. The fruity heat goes with many dishes, not just Jamaican Jerk recipes. Unfortunately, you can’t find scotch bonnet pepper plants here in the States, just seeds on line that have a very dismal success rate of producing peppers. This scotch bonnet mash/purée is the next best thing in my opinion.

Too much upsets your stomach but what great flavor. This mash gives you flavor first with a back of the tongue / esophageal burn all the way to your stomach.

I've bought three jars of pepper mash from this brand. The lids on these are comically bad. There is no seal, and all of them arrived in different states of stickiness with very loose lids. One had arrived half opened in the bag and spilled, leaving some of the contents inside the jar dried out and especially odorous.Against my better judgement, I've used two of them completely so far to make my own hot sauce. I haven't gotten sick or anything, but I'd expect better packaging for a food product. I finally decided to leave a review after the third one arrived sticky and one lid turn away from spilling out in the bag like the last one.
