✫ Used this to turn regular jeans into maternity jeans.✫ Has a decent stretch while still remaining firm enough to keep its shape.✫ Can stretch to a little more than double its length.How I used it for maternity jeans:1.) I cut out the pockets on a pair of jeans that I could fit over my thighs but could not button.2.) After cutting out pockets, I put jeans on and buttoned them to gauge how much elastic I'd need on each side to fit my new belly.3.) Having a gap of roughly 8 inches on each side, I cut two strips of 5 inches of elastic (knowing it would stretch to 8 plus inches).4.) I used a basting stitch to tack the strips to where the waistband was cut.5.) I then pinned the rest to the top of the pockets that remained.6.) Lastly, I secured everything with a wide zigzag stitch.
