Lots of variety, tasty snacks
This is a beautifully packaged box of snacks that is perfect for gift-giving. It was a fun experience getting to look through all the snacks — there is a good variety between sweet/salty foods and just a ton of different items to try. I found myself wanting multiples of a few snacks which only came as single items, but overall, this is a great selection of snacks that kept me busy for a week.

Beautifully packaged and great assortment
I've gotten some other gift snack boxes before and I'd rate this one as one of the much more thoughtfully prepared boxes. The design and packaging are lovely and attractive, and the snacks are fun and different. I'd say that more of the snacks are on the sweeter side, but it also looks like the box will vary depending on availability of snacks. I think this would make a fantastic gift to send to someone. You get a great size for the price; it can be shared with a family or eaten over a long time.

Nice experience until you start seeing snacks manufactured in the U.S
Good mix of basic (mostly sweet) Japanese snacks sold in a nice box. There are some products made in other countries such as Korea, which I kind of understand, but it is a disappointment to see products made in the U.S.Also, too many strawberry flavor snacks were included. I understand Japan was in the strawberry season when I purchased this, but I think variety is key for someone that is trying to taste a bit of Japan's snack culture.

Gift box vibe, good variety!
I was pleasantly surprised that the goodies come in a nice box with a welcoming leaflet inside.. definitely nice enough to give off a "gift box" vibe. I ordered this box for myself and it filled that need for snacking from time to time. The contents were all yummy. The best part about it was getting to choose between all the different sweet or savory options depending on what I felt like when the craving struck!

Contents are not delicious
As an Asian foodie and snacker, I know my snacks. The contents of this snack box aren’t the best snacks when you come to think of Asian snacks, would highly recommend purchasing separate snacks on your own! Half of them are delicious and half of them are on the cheaper end that are not so good!

A thoughtful gift!
Love that you can sample a wide range of treats — 1 or 2 pieces of a cookie or candy without buying a huge bag. I gifted this to my parents, who haven’t been able to vacation again in Japan due to the pandemic. Two of the four individually wrapped crackers arrived broken, so this product would be better if it included padding, like shredded paper, inside the box; but the broken pieces were still big enough to pick up and eat. This is an especially good gift if you don’t have an Asian grocery store near you to assemble this yourself!

Very impressed
I ordered this snack box to compare it to the two I had got for my birthday. This snack box was so much better than the other two! It had some common snacks I had either had or heard of before but also had some completely new things and it came with two of everything so I could share with my family! It had both sweet and savory snacks and I really enjoyed trying some new things! I 10/10 recommend you get this snack box too! It also came with a little two page book (like the size of a piece of paper folded in half) that talks about the business and teaches 6 Japanese words and also has instructions on how to make the matcha late! I also got a package of ramen which surprised me!

Hmmm. Lesson learned.
OK. First, I would estimate this is about $7 worth of treats for $40. Roughly 75% of my "40 piece box" was Hi-chews or melon candy. The kind at the grocery store in the candy aisle. Most of the rest of the box contained items from the 'International' section of the grocery store. Like crackers, or a package of Ichiban ramen. $1.49 at FM, aisle 20. The box itself appeared to have been thrice used before. And two of my 40 pieces were just open wrappers missing their contents. I would not suggest spending any amount of money on this item.
