Yeah I use a cannon 5th mark iii with a microphone which totals to about 15 1/2 lbs you just have to counter the right weights to balance it right

Can you use only 4 feet or 8 Feet of sections instead of all 12 feet?

Works as 8' or 12' crane. It does not work as a 4' crane.
