would this work for fine long hair? Or is there a wooden comb that would be?

I have long (about mid-back) fine hair that I'm trying to encourage to go wavy again after blow-drying it for years. I really like this comb because it doesn't seem to catch my hair the way plastic combs did. It's solid and feels good in my hand.
