Lovely recipes with a little extra
Wonderful recipes. I just got this cookbook a few days ago. I made The Fall Of St Olaf Pumpkin Cheesecake. It turned out gorgeous. I'm not a huge fan of the taste of it, but I will be using sugar instead of maple syrup the next time I make it. The texture of the cake was fantastic. I put the cream cheese in the stand mixer to mix for about 5 minutes to soften and smooth it before adding the next ingredients. That does make a difference, and that part is not in the directions, but from my experience. There are so many more recipes that I can't wait to try. These are mostly all baked cheesecake with a couple of exceptions. There are cute little excerpts of lines that the Golden Girls said. And I see the scene everytime I read one. I'm sharing the drink recipes with my cousin, because he throws dinner parties all of the time. If you like the Golden Girls and you like cheesecakes, I recommend this book.
