Crystal clear picture and the remote access works great.

I bought this I. April as a baby gift. Gave it to the mother to be in June. The baby was born August 2. They just opened the box and started using it around a month ago after baby was out in his own room. Now it has quit working. After 2 months of use. Going to see If limited 1 year warranty will cover the item. Will update again.

For the brief time this product worked, I was met with a buggy app that was constantly disconnecting from the baby unit. The parent unit itself was decent, although the 720p resolution left a lot to be desired. 1 year after I bought this baby monitor the parent unit stopped charging. Support has been TERRIBLE, even though technically it failed within the warranty period, they won’t replace the unit since by the time I reported it I was technically outside the 1 year period. Do yourself favor and buy a quality monitor that will last longer than a year. This is basically a heap of junk.

Camera quality is great, love that we can see clear enough to watch babies chest move! Can use just the Monitor with the baby cam, but the connection isn’t great and sometimes you need to be at babies door to get it to connect. I like that I can choose wifi if I want, and can see on my phone when I’m gone

I love this - it’s not crazy fancy like some of the other systems out there, but I LOVE how big the handheld screen is. It’s much bigger than I expected it to be. I also love that if I leave that in another room, I can just check it out on my phone, which was super easy to connect. My only weird caveat is that the microphone is almost TOO sensitive. If the volume is up on the device (even if the screen is off), you can hear the dogs barking or people talking in the hallway and it’s almost like the house is echoing. I’ve learned to make sure the volume is turned all the way down before going into the room to get her up from her nap. For the longest time we couldn’t figure out where the echo was coming from 😂

Pros: the wide screen view is nice Cons: The kickstand only works on a hard, flat surface. It can’t be propped up on the couch or bed. The screen takes a full 2 minutes to turn on and establish a connection. The device automatically turns on when it is plugged in. So then I have to wait 2 minutes to turn it off again. There is a delay between what is being shown and what’s actually happening. Panning around the room is difficult. I’ll tap the arrow button but the camera won’t move, so I’ll press it a little longer and then I’m looking at the ceiling. Very difficult to adjust in small increments. Not a usb-c charger. Must be connected to wifi. You technically can connect without it but the range is like 10 feet. The signal dropped when I left the room.

Battery doesn’t last a night, Struggles to connect to the camera so we leave the door open. We might as well not have one

Great idea in theory to have both WiFi and non-WiFi connection. Sadly, it stopped working after 3 months of using it. If you have e.g. kitchen appliances in between the parent unit and the camera, it looses connectivity due to interference. Also, the infrared sensor stopped working properly so it’s useless to us during the night, as there is no night vision. I can’t return the device as it’s not marked that it was delivered, but still says ‘shipped’ in my orders. Vtech technical support is also not replying to my emails. Waste of money.
