Had to use the warranty
TLDR: 5 stars for Klean Kanteen’s customer service, 0 stars for both bottles failing to stay cold for 3 days, and 0 stars for having a lid that hurts to open and no decent replacements.—I did a lot of research into what bottle was best. I checked out videos comparing thermoses, looked at prices, read reviews, and even ventured into barren and godless land (Reddit). I didn’t want to spend enough to fund a small army so I ended up here and got the klean kanteen.Right out of the box the bottle was dented. The box, on the other hand, weathered the apparent attack without a scratch. There was a mixup with the replacement so I was stuck with the battle worn bottle. At least I got my money back so I could go on to fund a (very modest) army. The texture was a pretty typical matte finish, and there was no noticeable flavor to the water, which was great. But the cold retention was another story. It’d fill it with ice water in the morning and it would be kinda cold at night. This was not the 3 days I had been promised so I decided on an experiment. As a newly born scientist, I filled the bottle with ice and cold water, screwed the cap on tight, and kept it in a cool dark room for the night. When I rose in the morning, I had middlingly cold water. It could have been the fault of the battle scar (dent), so I commenced checking the bottle during normal use, and I soon found the culprit. It WASN’T the dent, no, I had been betrayed by the NECK. It was leaking cold and bottlenecking my quest for chilled water.I continued my trials and published my findings to the scientific journal of amazon dot com reviews. At the end of the week, I filed a warranty request on KK’s website. They told me that they don’t usually cover bottles with dents but they’d send me a new one anyway. (I believe it was because of my charm as an illustrious scientist with a single experiment under their belt.)I got the bottle quickly, and this brand new bottle had much better packaging and —most importantly— no dents. I was ready to forgive the past sins of the old bottle. As they say, new bottle, new scientist.Except that I was still waking up to un-chilled water. This was greatly unbecoming of such a prominent scientific figure! I checked the neck of the new bottle, and lo and behold, it was LEAKING COLD.These bottles were a step up from non-insulated bottles, certainly, but disappointingly far from their 3-day cold guarantee. Unfortunately, problems usually come in pairs, and this one was joined by none other than the infamous loop top lid.In my past life as a non-scientist, I had a thermos brand bottle with a flip up cap, which is superior to this lid in many ways. The loop top is harder & more uncomfortable to screw on and off. It will often hurt your hands, an obvious issue if you want to encourage yourself to drink water in your quest for nonscientific prowess. This cap does have some pros over the flip cap: it’s waterproof & harder to break. If I were to drop the other bottle on the floor for Unscientific Reasons and the cap didn’t break outright, it would still open and start gushing water. And I couldn’t even respond “It’s for Science” when people start saying things like “oh god why is the floor completely wet, that’s going to come out of our deposit, why are you eating five pastries at once.” Thank god I no longer have to worry about that. But let’s say you want a cap that doesn’t hurt your hands. KK has five cap varieties for this bottle type: the default loop top, a more expensive default ($15) which is the price of a regular waterbottle, two “sports” caps (different spouts), and one last type. You might think the last cap must be a coffee lid, because the bottle can hold hot liquids! Or maybe one of those caps with a straw! No, you know, it’s definitely a lid with a retention loop so you can’t lose the cap!… It’s a sippy cup lid.And not only that, besides the $15 one they’re all $8-9 apiece (wtf), neither of the sports caps are leak proof, and they BOTH apparently make bad noises (?!), so I guess we’re stuck with this.I really, really wanted to like Klean Kanteen, and for two bottles that I ended up getting for what amounts to “free,” it’s pretty great. But I certainly wouldn’t pay full price for this. Despite the venture being Scientifically Fruitful, it has been honestly very disappointing.I hope my Great Efforts have enlightened you. Go on your way and help others (with Science).

Fantastic Water Bottle
My daughter needed a new water bottle because hers was pretty banged up & hard to clean. I searched for the most reasonable, easy to clean, non-toxic water bottles out there. This insulated, sturdy, stainless steel bottle is perfect. The pink finish is exactly what she wanted since she has now plastered a number of Demon Slayer stickers on it. The large capacity means she won’t run out of water at school and this personalized bottle will encourage her to stay hydrated.

ice water lasted all day
I filled my cup with refrigerated cold water and added a few ice cubes at 9am. I took my bottle with me and ran errands all day, even leaving it in the car on an 85° for an hour. Its now 12 hours later and there’s one ice cube left but the water is still very cold. Serves its purpose, plus the beige design is very cute! Not sure why anyone would take 24 hours to drink 20oz of water so I disregarded those negative reviews.

Great bottles but the colors shown are WAY off!
I ordered the Lotus and the Marigold. The Lotus is VERY pale pink and the Marigold is MUSTARD! I LOVE Klean Kanteen bottles and am a repeat buyer, but I really wanted the colors depicted. I would not have bought them if the pictures shown were accurate. I am keeping the Lotus though very disappointed in the drab SUPER pale color, but the Marigold is downright ugly and is going back.

Effective
The thermos maintains beverage heat very well. After 2-3 hours, open and drink is still hot. What I don’t like is the cap. Mine has a flexible metal loop that does not provide good leverage for opening the cap if you try to open using the loop itself. If you put your hand around the plastic portion of the cap to get better leverage, the edge of the loop digs into the palm very unpleasantly. Poor design.

Amazing water bottle that holds true to it's promises of keeping its contents at temp for an extremely long time! Highly recommend

Solid!
I love the solid feel and the wide opening is very comfortable to drink from. Most of all, I love the fact I can take hot coffee on a hike, and it keeps HOT, as well as icy water which is still icy after a couple of hours. The little loop is nice to hold or to secure it to a bag.
