THIS IS A REAL BUSHCRAFTERS BAG
The first thing to know is that it comes in a padded envelope. I saw that and figured that I had pissed away my money. I WAS WRONG! This rig is tough and lightweight. I put my 10 Cs in it and there is a place for everything and a lot of versatility in how you can carry it. It's got MOLLE loops on the ends and under the bottom so that you can add pouches (I added my compass pouch) and the ones under the bottom would work great for a bedroll or a tarp. The side zipper pocket is excellent for holding a book, a notebook, and maps. It has a comfortably wide shoulder strap with quick release fittings on each end. It conforms to your body so when you find the sweet spot where you want to carry it, it doesn't get in your way when you do things. The dog and I took mine to the woods this morning to see how I'd like it. The heat index mid-morning was 103, so I had my 32oz stainless water-bottle/cookset in one of the pockets and my 48oz stainless canteen in the other. These pockets have elastic tops to them so they hold the bottles straight up in place in the bag so they aren't shifting around making noise and leaking. We hiked about 8 miles breaking trail about half of that. If I needed my folding saw, it was right there in the end pocket for it, if I needed my hatchet, it was right there in the provided loop and what's grand, you have them on both ends. I was carrying 19 pounds of gear (the bag weight is negligible) and no sore shoulder or neck; no sore hip from the bag beating against it. I've been looking for a bag set up like this for a decade and have wasted a lot of money on others that were close but no cigar. This is probably going to end up doing double duty as my EDC bag as well. We broke trail through bushes, briars, and swamp. I brought it in, cleaned off the dirt, sweat and blood. It looks as good as it did when it got here. I recommend it.

Great bag for hunting essentials
I absolutely love this bag. I wanted something other than a backpack when I'm coyote hunting or scouting. I like being able to access my gear quickly. I'm able to carry my Foxpro Hijack, water, FAK, range finder, monocular, snacks, saw and everything else. It can get a bit uncomfortable on the shoulder if you have to much weight in it so I either limit it to short trips or reduce what I'm carrying if I'll be out longer. The versatility is great. Small outside pocket holds headlamp and other small items I want quick access to. The internal mesh pocket keeps smaller things I don't want to lose secure. Outside holders for knives/saw keeps a folding saw handy for when you need to do some trimming. I like that the shoulder strap can be unclipped. Makes it easy to hang from a tree. Had it out in pretty steady rain for four hours yesterday and the inside stayed dry. The fabric did "wet out" and water wasn't rolling off the fabric. So spraying on some waterproofing is a good idea if you expect rain. Overall this is a great bag that holds a lot and allows quick access to your gear.

Just order it already
So here’s the deal, anything helikon makes is pure quality. I had absolutely no reason to buy this bag because I have a lot of bushcraft/edc/tactical carry bags. I bought it because, why not? Well, helikon did good again. I’m convinced they have perfected black hole technology and engineered it into this bag because it packs A LOT without it feeling that way. Large pockets on the inside of the bag and big main compartment in the middle. Molle on both ends of the bag and many more features. Def worth it and you won’t regret it. Material is lightweight but feels very durable at the same time. As far as being water proof, maybe for a few minutes it would repel water but not much longer than that so I would plan on getting a dry bag to carry with it. Buy the bag, put some awesome bughcraft/camping gear in it and go enjoy the weekend outdoors!

Well-made and roomy
Good, sturdy bag. Wanted a haversack for hiking, hunting, mountain biking and possible SAR searches. Good way to carry "possibles" for all these activities. Seems water-repellant and durable (probably will treat again with Scotchguard to keep cleaner and contents dry). Seems most folks using haversacks on YouTube overstuff them-that's an individual choice. Carry what you most likely will need for an unplanned overnight stay. Period. The model I received doesn't have the loops inside for pens (or spare ammo), does have 1 large, zippered mesh inside pocket plus 2 elastic water bottle pouches. No small inside pockets. Does have lots of external molle attachment points, along with several pockets. Would like more small inside pockets, plus a way to attach the back to a waist belt to keep the haversack out of the way, and an external rear map pocket with a simple fold-over rain flap. An external velcro patch would also be nice for motivational patches. Strap could be a couple of inches longer. Expensive, but there's obviously a lot of labor in its construction and quality materials. Probably would buy again (the "woodland" camo looks good).

A well designed and made sling that I use as a field kitchen kit bag
Excellent quality and build with quite usable molle and a pass through on each side for an axe or larger knife. There's just one zippered mesh pocket inside, and one flat zippered pocket on the exterior but no more are needed. Two elastic mesh pockets at either end secure a full size Nalgene bottle, which is a plus. I set it up as my field kitchen kit bag and everything fits snugly. The RAL 7103 colorway looks good with my other ranger green and mas gray kit.

Fantastic Value in a Low Key, High Quality and Versatile Package
This is just a great bag, and at the price it is being offered it is also a great value. The materials and construction are of very high quality, with YKK zippers and cordura fabric used throughout. The two interior, elasticized water bottle pockets are an intelligent design feature that can be used to keep many items other than water bottles separate from the other contents. The strap and hardware attachments are of good quality; although no shoulder pad is included with the strap, it isn't going to be missed by me. The webbing straps attached to the ends of the bag are very handy for attaching additional pouches, or pens, a compass, or other items that can be strapped or clipped onto the bag. The slim pockets on the ends of the bag are great for knives, flashlights, or other slender, long items. I waited for over a year for a black satchel to become available again in the USA - and the product is well worth the wait. This is a versatile and well-made bag that I will use a lot - you need one of these!

Just the right size for me
As a former army infantry and retired Fed Leo, I like to be a little prepared for SHTF scenarios. I have accumulated a lot of tactical, survival, and backpacking gear throughout the years BUT, I didn’t have the right sized bag for my vehicle trunk that I can leave inside for an emergency. Everything I had was a little too big or too small to my liking so did hours of research and pulled the trigger for this one. After finally receiving it I did a thorough inspection and found it to be well crafted. There is always room for minor upgrades but overall I’m very pleased that I chose this one. I’m pretty sure it’s water resistant but doesn’t seem like it could handle hard rain but, I’m not worried since I have a good sized poncho inside the bag as part of my gear. I plan to order a small molle pouch to attach outside and the only physical upgrade I would recommend to the designer would be to add a little cushion sleeve to the bag strap. Overall I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a bushcraft type bag that’s a little versatile that can easy adapt for your needs.

pratique
Très pratique pour aller une journée dans les bois ou en balade. La taille est parfaite et on peut rajouter des éléments accrochés aux parties molles. J'en ai même acheté un deuxième pour mon conjoint qui est également très satisfait.
