Works well
I have two of these mounted outside. I also have two indoor models. Looking at how the outdoor devices are made, I expect them keep all the important bits dry in bad weather.I will find out this winter how they do in the cold. The devices can be configured locally or via the Nebula portal/app.I opted to configure these using the free version of the Nebula web portal, which is not very intuitive, but I got it figured out. The problem was that it wasn't obvious how to move the devices I added into the site I created. Otherwise, Nebula pretty easy to figure out by clicking around a bit.Understand that I am a network engineer and work on this type of equipment professionally, so others may find Nebula to be somewhat confusing. I feel that anyone who understands basic network and Wi-Fi terminology will have no issues setting these up.The Nebula app allows one to configure multiple SSIDs using different configurations and VLANs, as well as allowing centrally managed password changes and firmware upgrades. I don't like that the Nebula portal keeps nagging me to upgrade to the paid version. The free version provides all the functionality I need in a home installation, but you may want to use the paid version for a professional installation. The Wi-Fi coverage is excellent with these, even inside my son's and daughter's metal sided Ice Castle fish houses which are stored at my place when they aren't in use.I only have a 100 Mbps Internet connection at my rural location, so I cannot comment on the speed other than to say that I am getting my full Internet speed through these access points, even in the fish houses. These APs offer good performance and configurability at a price point far more appealing to home/small business users than the commercial hardware I work with professionally.I didn't utilize Zyxel's tech support, so I gave them average stars (3). Could be good or bad, I don't know.Overall, I'm pretty pleased with these and would recommend them to others.

Simple Setup; Powerful Capabilities
This is one of the easiest products to set up that I've ever purchased- and my home has a complex system of routers and APs. All you have to do is plug it in to your router, determine the DCHP address with a IP scanning program, log in, and click through 5 steps. The only item that confused me was how to set up the wifi password. But I watched the installation video and discovered that it was under a heading "Secret" that you accessed by clicking on the radio settings. There is a 200 page well-written manual that you can download that describes the full capabilities of this German-designed product, but for most applications you won't need to do that.

So worth the quirks.
This AP is everything I hoped it would be. It’s blazingly fast and I get full signal where ever I go on my property. The interface is a little clunky, but forgivable as it’s surprisingly full featured with the ability to create antenna profiles, multiple users, and so much more. Make sure you update the firmware right away.

Seems solid but.....
Long story short, zyxel wants you to pay a subscription for being able to change many of the settings of this access point. The local settings are not in depth, you have to use the nebula subscrption to actually get into the in depth settings.I really am disappointed in companies that do this, they don't want you to actually own their product, they want you to continually pay them forever which is flat out wrong... And the crooks get away with this crap.Zyxel, Netgear and others put in depth settings behind a pay wall, so don't buy their products!

Garbage
I purchased three - none work properly. There are no lights on the units so you have no idea if they even have power. the instructions don't tell you that you need an app to get them working. Once you download the app the majority of the feature you have to pay for a license. WTF you want me to pay more when they don't even work?Contacted support - absolutely no help.I even upgraded the license and support was unhelpful. They could not explain in basic term how to get the units to power on and update firm where? Can I have a refund?
