LOREX Baby Sweet Peep 2.4" Video Baby Monitor with Pan and Tilt Camera BB2425

I read many reviews before purchasing and even reviewed the suggested monitors on BabyGear Lab (my go to for all baby goods). I am fairly satisfied with this and as my view is kind of one sided - I haven't had the pleasure of trying different monitors, I can only review based on my expectations. The night time view is quite amazing and the VOX seems to work now that I've read the manual :) There are lots of additional features (like a light and lullabies and temp controls and warnings) which I suggest testing when baby is NOT sleeping - oops. The two way communication seems like it will be handy in the toddler years, but right now it's more of a novelty. Battery life seems good as long as I don't watch baby for hours on end. The range is a little disappointing and maybe it's just my house but I can only make it down the front steps or the edge of the deck before it reaches out of range (what's the linear measurement...I don't know but it's not a very big house and not a very big deck). There is also a point in our garage where it seems to go out of range. HOWEVER, it does transmit throughout the entire house, so I can't be too picky. Especially as this is not a wifi based model which are generally the long range boasters. As for sound - pretty good - kind of scratchy and since baby needs his own white noise (fans galore) I would appreciate a fancy filtering quality but I don't even know if that's possible. However, I can hear baby crying over the fans and the VOX system activates when baby cries and there are 3 fans going. Overall I would def buy it again - especially considering the price. The nighttime camera really is quite amazing.

Video screen went completely blank 45 days into use. We can no longer see our baby. It worked okay for a short time, but only 45 days of use is unacceptable. Because it was more than 30 days since we had received it, the seller (Andorama Camera) refused to assist or allow a return/refund. Created a support ticket on the manufacturer's website on November 3rd and the ticket sat until November 8th, when the status was changed to "Work in Progress." It is now almost two weeks from the last status and we have heard nothing. We have a non-working monitor and have had to fork out more hard-earned money for a new device from a different manufacturer. Bad product and terrible customer service = Don't buy this one!

Definitely a great monitor and a steal for the price! We constantly have issues with our Internet so finding a monitor that could work on its own was a pretty big deal and this seemed like the best one for our family. We have an 1800sq ft 2 story home and get great signal everywhere including the back yard, it has awesome remote pan/tilt with 360 view, and has a cool little temperature readout if that's something you're wanting. The camera is average, the 2x zoom is a great feature and can be blurred sometimes, but although the picture is not as sharp as I would've liked it definately gets the job done. I feel like there is a 1-2sec delay at times with the picture, but hardly noticeable except when my son is in his rocker. It also has a little night light that's a little too bright for my liking and it plays music. I'm not a big fan of the music because it comes from the camera and the audio output seems to be right next to the mic which makes it SUPER loud coming back through on the handheld when you have the audio on. We just don't use the music part and it hasn't been an issue; it seems like everything our son has plays some sort of music so having it or not having it wouldn't matter to us. I love that there are so many ways to monitor the baby as well. You can have all three on together: video, audio, and sound level lights, or use them one at a time. Being a FTM I always have all three on lol, but my favorite option has to be the 2 way talking feature. OMG, it's like having a voice activated walkie talkie directly linked to your spouse/significant other/family/friend/whoever when you need it the most...it's definitely been a mess saver a few times in our house and not to mention extremely convenient! Did I mention you can have multiple cameras? What more could you need? If you can get around a 2.4 inch screen(I thought it was going to seem a lot smaller...it's not awful) and a picture that's not like 4k HD you can't go wrong with this... I just have to say it again...when you compare it with others that have all the same features it's an amazing price. Its a great feeling to know you got a great deal and with a new baby saved some much needed $$ plus you didn't have to settle.

Good product, the color and resolution isn't as true as the photos indicate, but it's pretty feature rich and has a very good range.

Fantastic monitor! Very easy to set up, video is clear, many options to adjust to preferences. I would recommend it to anyone!

Zero stars because it stopped working at a little over 3 months. And of course there's no warranty/return.Will never buy from DiscountSpin again. Beware.
