it is built in, cable splitter is not required.

Q: Do they sell an audio plug for just the head set ? I would like to delete gamdac

At least in the packge I got it comes with a audio and a USB option (with the gamedac) how ever if you connect with the audio alone you lose the 7.1 and the lights
