I bought these suspenders for use with mountaineering pants (Outdoor Research Cirque). They fit the pants very well; the back attachment clip fits tightly into the back loop of the pants, while the front attachment clips fit more loosely. It's easy to disengage the front clips when needed, but they don't come open during use. The plastic clips are large but not at all obtrusive, even beneath a backpack waist strap or harness. The straps have just the right amount of elasticity as well as plenty of adjustability, so they would easily fit someone shorter or taller than me (5'-11").Unfortunately, the leather fitting which connects the back strap to the front straps is relatively thick (approximately 1/4"). This means that, when I'm wearing a backpack, the fitting sometimes presses uncomfortably against my back. The qualifier "sometimes" is because it depends on how much weight I'm carrying and how the backpack's shoulder straps are adjusted. So sometimes the suspenders are perfectly comfortable, and sometimes they're quite uncomfortable.

I'd have the right size pants and belts, but because my job requires a lot of movement, my pants would always keep falling down. The strange thing with my shape is that even when I have the right sizes, if I tighten the belt, I get a bulge, or if I loosen the belt, my pants slide down. This clips over my velcro belt and allows it to be a harness for my duty belt to put over, keep it at the right height, and keep my pants from falling down. The elasticity is perfect for all sizes, especially as I'm a tall and larger man. It's very convenient and form-fitting. Very good quality and no tears or pilling out of the box from other brands. The colors are perfect to pick from, whether the suspenders are worn under a shirt or over one. There's one to fit your needs.Initial impressions were positive, as it fit my Vertex pants and Kore belt just fine. With a few adjustments, the problem of buldging or falling down disappeared. I will be purchasing some more in different colors to match other outfits, and I'm very happy with the results. For reference, I'm 6'2 250lbs.

This is a quality product. However, despite the obvious redundancy, you need to wear a belt in order to attach these suspenders. If you do not use a belt, be warned. These suspenders are not for you.
