i have dark hair: 1) will this give my hair a nice red tint? 2) how long should i keep it in to get red tint?

I have very dark brown hair and this made mine very noticeably red. I let mixture site for up to 4 hours before applying. Then leave it in for 6+.

I really loved the color and the shine, but my hair is breaking like crazy! I mixed mine with water, lemon juice and some oil. Help!

If you have bleached or processed hair using henna can cause breakage. I always always always deep condition the night before I'm going to use henna. I generally use a henna placenta for that. And then I use another pack after the treatment. I also mix henna with fresh brewed coffee to tone down the red if you want a more auburn than henna red. My stylist always compliments how healthy my hair is and loves the color.

How long should it sit before use?Would "olive & or almond oil added help with conditioning. Can indigo be used, as with henna?

Personally, I use it as soon as it has cooled down from the hot tea. You can let it sit, but I never really noticed any dramatic differenze. Oil works great especially on curly hair, but I personally soak my hair in it post-henna rather than mixing it in. Your can definitely mix in indigo.
