Overall I am very pleased with the garment. I have a Bichon/Westie cross and often find it difficult to get the right sizing. This coat is very well made from quality materials and the built-in harness is a great bonus. It fits my dog very well and covers the whole of the back, unlike some I've purchased before. There are loops for the back legs which will stop the coat from lifting in windy weather. The neck extension protects the underside but there is a gap on the upper side. One also needs to be careful when zipping up the coat as the fabric that lies below the zip can easily get caught in the zip mechanism. The same is true when unzipping. It's just a case of taking extra care.The coat is advertised as being waterproof. It hasn't been used as yet in falling rain so I can't comment on the shell's ability to shed rainwater. The problem, however, is that the underside becomes waterlogged when walking on wet surfaces and water is splashed upwards (my dog has very low undercarriage!).It's the ideal coat for cold, dry weather. Despite the shortcomings (which prevents me giving it a 5 star rating) I have bought a second one.

One side was too tight had to undo the stitching and pull the cord through. Made it a lot better. Don’t think it had been checked….

Excellent coat that looks and feels lovely. I ordered a 50 cm for my springer spaniel and it is a little bit tight round her tummy.

Great winter dog coat - I found the extra large was right size for my westie .Didn’t need elastic around back legs this was too tight but it’s ok without it .Love it and love the colour

Based on measurements I ordered in medium for my teacup longhaired Chihuahua, unfortunately coat too big, the harness straps in tightest position hung so far over his body they looked ridiculous. As to the draw string to tighten back they were excessively long before touched, once pulled to adjust coat to fit, given the coat was excessively long, the strings are then way too long there was so much excess cord no amount of tying into knots could stop them dragging on the floor. As to the leg straps they were way too large for a small dog who is close to the ground, leg straps just dragged on ground. If you can get right size and fit for your dog I'd say this is a lovely coat, good value for money, will give warmth, be waterproof and could look nice. But unfortunately not suitable for my furbabys body size and shape. Returned for full refund.

Really liked this dog coat. It's very snug and our dog seems very comfortable in it even with the back leg loops.The problem we have is that the harness is far too big for the coat and does not provide any security for our dog as even at its tightest the harness straps hang down below the dogs body. I'll either have to take it to someone and get it altered (I'm no good with sewing) which will add to the cost of the coat or not use it as its so awkward as it is.
