Windows 8.1 won't be getting security updates in 2023-Can Passport still be used to back up files & pictures from a windows 8.1 laptop?

My best guess would be that it will continue to back up. Passport backs up files, etc that are presented to it, it probably query the operating system re: updates or no updates.
