Perfect rack mount for my Raspberry Pi clusters
Love It. I have 10 Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 devices and this was the perfect mounting I needed to move them to my 19" rack. I was able to mount my RPi 5 with an NVME HAT without any issues. Its tight but works find. Provides a nice clean look verses a scattering of PIs and their cases. What you will spend for 2-3 cases you can afford this mount so good value for the money.

works, but pay attention to height with gpio pins
Works fairly well for pis and pi-like SBCs. Can even fit a io board for cm4 sideways. Build quality is good. If you are going for a PoE powered setup with hats that pass through GPIO pins, the pins will make removing the SBC a royal pain, thus knocking a star down.

Nice and clean
I was migrating from using the towers for my Raspberry Pi's to a rack mounted setup for my upgraded ones. When I purchased I was worried about the height of the assembled Pi because I added a POE/NVME hat to these which makes them much taller than a standard PI. If I assembled them and tried to slide them into the case they were too tall. I was able to mount the PI and then slide them into the case. Once secured I added the hat and they still stayed within the 1U configuration. I did leave 1U of space above to let them have air flow but this really works well for me. Would highly recommend if you are wanting to move to rack mounted PI's.

Does exactly what is inteded
I got this uctronics raspberry pi rackmount bracket because I wanted to mount my pis in a rack (like duh, lol). It does exactly that. I have mounted 3 pis into my rack so far using this bracket. Given that the pi wasn't exactly designed with rack mount systems in mind (at least i don't think it was designed with that in mind), there is issues with accessing the HDMI port and power port. I know there is other brackets that have extra boards that bring the hdmi to the front and such, but it appears that they aren't made for any pi that is below a 4, as they have the mini-hdmi to hdmi boards only (as far as I can tell). However, that is an issue with how the Pi was desinged, NOT how this bracket was designed. I chose this particular bracket because I have a few Pis. A pi 3 and 2 Pi 2s (ancient now given that Pi 5 is now out). No matter what version of a pi you have, this will mount it just fine. since i have those 3 pis, i wanted to put them all to good use. the trays have the ability to mount an SSD underneath the Pi. While a bit clunky to route a SATA to usb cable to the Pi (im not sure if clunky is the right word here, but it does get in the way a little depending on what you have going on in your rack)(and I do realize this is a design that was designed AROUND how the pi itself was designed, and to be honest I have NO IDEA how you could make something like this better without it looking like poor design when a pi is NOT used in a rack system), it does the job that it needs, to allow you to connect an SSD to the pi, and thats all that really matters, right? I have no complaints about the bracket. I mean, its a pretty simple design, and accommodates all pis, so how could i complain, lol.

Difficult to remove devices when power plugged in
Almost a good design. I'm not sure why the bays have quick release screws. with how close the devices are together, it is next to impossible to remove the device. there is not enough space to slide the device in or out with the power adapter in. Very difficult with large hands to try and plug it in once its it the rack. Otherwise its fine

Got my rack Pi-ed Up
I was tired of the clutter of multiple Raspberry Pi devices scattered around my office. This rackmount solution has been a game-changer. It’s sleek, compact, and offers excellent protection for my Pis. The best part? The ability to use PoE (Power over Ethernet) has significantly streamlined my setup. No more tangled power cables or extra power outlets. Beyond the physical benefits, this rackmount has also improved device management. With all my Pi devices neatly organized in one place, it’s easier to monitor their status, troubleshoot issues, and perform maintenance. It’s a fantastic solution for anyone looking to optimize their server rack and elevate their Raspberry Pi experience.

Overall good. Does not work with larger hats (example certain NVMe + POe hats)
This works nicely for my setup. However, if I were to order again, I'd opt for a 2U or alternate setup, as this one does not work with some of the hats I already had. I was able to get some that worked... but just fyi for others. I like the build quality quite a bit. Price is on par with the quality. I would give it 5 stars if it was a more versatile setup that accommodated hats that extend over the USB and ethernet ports. Also, if it is a taller hat that also extends the IO pins... you'll need 2U of space, even if it does go in, as it will potentially touch the pins to whatever is above it in the rack.

Perfect for multiple Pis
This is a great product to add to my 4 pis to my rack. I have noticed there is not too much space when you try to add the power cable to the pi, but I have resolved that with purchasing some POE hats to go with them. Also I have an open rack, so I can access the pis very easily to restart them or change out the SD card if I want to change the OS. Also the bottom having a spot for a 2.5" drive is very helpful to get rid of the SD cards as well.

The item arrived in a damaged condition with the end bay bent. The packing and shipping materials was obviously not sufficent to protect it in transit. I did try to contact the seller as this was an Amazon Marketplace product, however I received no response. I'd have to say that, although it serves it's purpose, I though a little more thought might have gone into the design. The undermounting SSD bracket is OK, but maybe a reverse option where you could manage the SATA to USB cable better would have been nice. Overall, a little underwhelmed by the product and the way it arrived, though it is nice to look at in the rack!

This single unit was bought on March 25, 2025 and arrived on March 29, 2025 - Amazing shipping time. The selling price at that time was $81.96 and with tax was $91.80 Canadian. The same item sold directly from the manufacturer is less than $50.00 USD but with shipping, exchange, duties & taxes buying it on the Canadian Amazon website makes it a wash and was faster to receive. Regardless, the review is for the unit and my personal experience with using these cases for about two years now. Short Version: Holds five RPI in all configurations. Easy to install SSD and Pi to the removable sled. Captive spring loaded screws are great for removal. Light weight in design and comes with all the required hardware for mounting. Long Version: I have been using four of these five bay server rack mounts for about two years. The frame is light weight aluminum but is thick enough to support the weight and securely mount to a rack without flexing or bending. The open front design allows any RPI in production to be used and installed into this case / mount / frame. The ability to have and install both SSD & Micro SD card in one housing is fantastic to help expand storage. The overall fit and finish of the case is OK. Nothing fancy as it’s just punched out, drilled, and formed aluminum. The only snipe I have is the company (UCTRONICS) does NOT sell the Micro SD card extension cable directly on the Amazon.Ca site vs the American site for approximately $14-15.00 USD?!?! The only Canadian seller of this Micro SD card extension cable wants to charge $45.XX for a $5.00 cable??? Overall this server mounting kit for the raspberry pi is a solid product and allows a safe & clean installation. NOTE: The Raspberry Pi’s can not be removed with the sled if you have ANY sort of add on hat that exceeds the front opening!

This item has been pretty poorly designed requiring you to either need to buy a PoE hat for each pi you wish to use or buy an angled adapter as each pi is too close to the other one to allow a power cable to be inserted without causing significant stress to the power port (usb c or micro depending on the pi)
