GEFUHandheld Coffee Grinder with Adjustable Ceramic Grinding Gear

This was recommended to me by a barista friend who is a super coffee snob. He said he's tried 7 or 8 different grinders in this price range and the GEFU was by far the best one. It's extremely well made and the grind is very very consistent. Not sure how this product has such terrible reviews. I've used it for Aeropress, Espresso and French Press and it has been just as consistent as my Baratza encore. It's very well built, especially the handle, which has an extremely robust spline mechanism that should last for quite some time. My only gripe is that I wish it had a bigger container for the grounds. If you're doing a french press or drip it takes filling it up a couple of times, but it's perfect for aeropress or espresso.

I have been using this coffee grinder on my boat for a year and it works great. It takes about 45 seconds to grind enough coffee for a shot of espresso.I am making it short because the other positive reviews have covered the bases.

As others have mentioned, this grinder gives a consistent grind and works fine in that regard. However, the grinder is made of stainless steel and the shape makes it slippery and difficult to hold onto. The only place to stabilize the grinder while using it would be the grounds container at the bottom. The combined torque could cause the thread to bind and make it increasingly difficult to open the grinds container. After struggling with this for months, it’s time to move on. Buyer beware.

This grinder is fantastic!

I've had one for about 18 months and use it daily for my French press or Aeropress. Grind consistency is decent with few pebbles and boulders. Easy to use with enough grounds for the French press in about 2 minutes of turning. I'm very happy with my coffee.

It worked perfectly for a year and then the center burr broke. The warranty says to return to point of sale, Which I did. GEFU has been giving myself and the vendor the run-around for five months. Many promises to call back with instructions that are not honored.Summary: The 20 year warranty is a joke. Expect one year of service and then discard.

Yes, it grinds coffee to a very fine state, but...it's so poorly designed with its tapered cylinder of slippery steel; if you have it on setting "1," you're exhausted by the time you've ground enough beans for one cup. There's no placing on a counter for stability, because it's so top heavy. As mentioned in other reviews, if you want a grinder for fine grinds, this is most definitely not the one. Stick with an electric.

Molto soddisfatto. Per ora funziona benissimo ed è di un design accattivante. Potenzialmente può macinare molto fine, io per limiti della mia macchina del caffè,lo uso settandolo al n°5. Ma potendo ci si può spingere a grande finissime.Ci vuole un po' di forza, questo sì. Ma niente di eccessivo.Il caffè finale è di una qualità superiore rispetto a quello estratto dopo una macinazione a lame ( i classici macinacaffè elettrici a 20€ ) e ovviamente a quello non macinato fresco. La differenza è sostanziale.

I've used this for almost a year now daily, several times a day. No issues whatsoever so far. I've used it for filter coffee, moka, and French press and found the adjustments to fit all of these needs perfectly.If I had to come up with something negative, it can be a bit difficult to get a good grip of the grinder while grinding - I solved it by using a rubber grip band I had on a portable coffee mug, it's not a perfect fit obviously but still enables a much steadier grip. Makes me wish it had one of its own.

Simple, pratique et efficace

Delevery was fast, product is great.Had a few doubts at first... but after playing a bitwith the settings (quite simple in fact) the results were fantastic.
