The adapters from this company work well
This is the second adapter I bout from this seller as I have two AC units, and both needed hose extensions. The item is well made, and fits the hoses very well. Definitely make sure the diameter and twist direction (clockwise vs counterclockwise) of your hose are correct.

This was used to combine it with my original exhaust tube for my Honeywell portable A.C. unit and it connected perfectly. Holds great and works great.
