Q: how would I clean this? Am I able to scrub it with water without damaging it?

Here are some cleaning steps to follow. Submerge your mouse pad in a bathtub or large basin of some sort (like your kitchen sink), preferably full of warm water. Pour a small amount of mild hand soap or laundry detergent onto the mousepad. Remember, a little goes a long way. Let it soak for 10 minutes. Using a cloth or sponge, scrub the entirety of the mouse pad thoroughly to remove stains, oil, and debris. Rinse the mouse pad thoroughly and make sure to get it as dry as possible before setting it to dry on a towel, cloth side down. Make sure to use a flat surface. After 12-24 hours, the mouse pad should be ready for gaming! Repeat as needed. Your mousepad should remain waterproof as long as you don't damage the surface through harsh cleaning.

Q: Why was the black version removed?

The black version is not removed, it is simply out of stock at the moment we are working hard to get this back in stock to keep up with the demand! :)
