This extra-fine, European style transparent watercolor, known for its purity, permanence and brilliance, preserves the brush handling qualities inherent in Japanese watercolor techniques. Because it contains no oxgall, animal by products or other dispersing agents, Holbein watercolor moves slowly, allowing for greater color density and brush control. It has a creamy texture that remains smooth when dry and will not crack, crumble, chip or mold in the palette. To use, simply fill the wells of a palette with the desired color, permit to dry, then wet the color as if it were a pan color.

Nice Artist Grade Paint
This was my first Holbein watercolor purchase. I usually use Qor or Daniel Smith brand, but I wanted this color for a class I am taking. Love the color and will use this for skies and it mixes beautifully with my other paints. My only complaint is not with the paint, but the seller. I mistakenly ordered the product twice the same day and it was too late to cancel one of them when I realized my mistake. I went to return it and they wanted to charge me shipping and that infuriated me, so I kept it. Teaches me a lesson.....never buy anything through Amazon unless it's Prime, not an individual seller.
