NOT EVEN REMOTELY WATERPROOF!
I sure am glad I tested these before using them on a camping / kayaking trip. When they arrived I placed some paper towel in each bag, sealed them and held them under water for a few minutes. Every single bag had water inside. The material is not even rubberized or otherwise waterproofed. Just thin nylon fabric, DO NOT BUY THESE IS YOU PLAN TO STORE ANY GEAR THAT NEEDS TO BE KEPT DRY! They may work for a short time but they will eventually leak.

Definitely not waterproof and they need to fix that in this ad. It's misleading people.
I bought these in spite of the bad reviews because I just wanted some bags this size that were easy to close to sort out items in my hiking pack. I didn't really need them to be waterproof and these most definitely are not waterproof folks I don't know what they're trying to pull here they don't even hold air if you were to blow one up and just slightly push on it it starts leaking I haven't tried them in water but I can already tell you by looking at them they will not keep water out no way so if you're looking for something to be waterproof keep looking but if you're looking for color or sorted bags that are handy and quite durable these are a good item. They need to call them what they really are. But I couldn't beat the price so I bought them.

NOT waterproof bags
These bags are at best, water RESISTANT - they are NOT WATERPROOF. The nylon material used to make these bags in not the same a other marine bags which use a heavier vinyl that is actually waterproof using the same type of fold-over closure.I conducted an experiment and submerged one of these closed bags with in item wrapped in toilet paper - resulting in the paper becoming soaked almost immediately. Even if I scotch guard these bags, they will never be waterproof. These bags are useful for keeping items and they are fairly inexpensive; so I am pleased with my purchase and will certainly use them for camping. I may even use them for boating, but these bags will go inside my other waterproof boating bags when not in use to protect whatever is inside from getting damp.

Don't Listen to the Ignorant Haters
These are a handy thing to keep in your trunk, go bag, hiking pack, or wherever you might need to keep something relatively dry for short periods. I've used these in the past as laundry bags when traveling light since they keep the funk in and compress easily in the bottom of my pack.It should be noted that they are NOT WATERPROOF. If you know anything about dry bags, you'll know that a vast majority aren't. The bag material itself is waterproof, but water and air can get through the opening regardless of how you close it. If you want to keep something 100% waterproof for an indefinite period of time, say buried underground, then get a Ziplock or space bag. If you want to keep a change of clothes and your phone dry while going through rapids and they'll be underwater for maybe a few minutes tops, then these are what you want.Make sure you've they aren't full to the top, roll the top down a good ways, and secure with the snap closure. If you really want your stuff to be dry, consider putting your stuff in a smaller bag, sealing it, then putting the smaller bag into a larger one and repeating the process. If you're still paranoid about your phone getting wet, keep a few ziplocks on hand.
