likes words like hegemony, dominance
To the potential reader: if you are the type of a person that believes yourself to be, intellectually, "from an upper shelf", "knows it all already", likes words like hegemony, dominance ..., is an atheist, but, in reality, is "anti any theism" ... this book is not for you.It is a personal, emotional ... statement. For some it provides "food for thought" & it is here where its value lies.Just two examples of how it worked for me:In WW2, about 55 million people perished. The book allows this "cold numeric statistic" to be interpreted into real enormity ...of the atrocities of this war & to thoughts about avoiding repetition. The book makes reference to Patriotism (& by implication to Nationalism). Divisive ? Not at all ! There is beauty in Nature's Diversity. "Little boxes, little boxes - all the same" is your choice ? Not mine !I fully recommend this book - to some.Frank Stepien .

Jerry Kubica’s memories/retraced steps
These books were bought for my eldest g’son: now 16yrs, he’s interested in many aspects of WW11 - am sure he’ll be walking alongside Jerry once he starts reading the first book. But, as family haven’t yet received all of their gifts yet, there haven’t, as yet, been any views expressed!By the way, if you ever come across this review, Jerry - we never considered you as anything other than a Brit, thru n thru🤗 Go Home? Your home is here💐🍾🥂x
