This wheel is great for the most part
This wheel is great for the most part. I'm super glad to finally find a wheel that is comparable to the silent spinner in a size that is big enough for my syrian. HOWEVER, I have had this product for only about 2 months and its already not as quiet as when I got it. Still quieter than the wodent wheel I had, but the front plastic isn't overly secure to the back part so when he runs it knocks around and makes some sound. Not overly disruptive or noticeable until I try and go to sleep and then I realize how loud it really is. I still like it, but for as much as I paid for this I really hope it doesn't fall apart this quickly. ADDITIONALLY: it IS loud if you just have it on the ground of your tank or cage, I had to put some fabric around the base and tape it down to keep it from clanking. (also, theres no instructions on how to put it together and it did take me some time to figure it out)

Better, but still has a slight clanking noise
It is quieter than our previous squeaky wire wheel; however I agree with a previous reviewer who described a looseness between the middle plastic part that holds it together causing it t make a clanking noise against the large plastic wheel when it is spinning fast. I am sure it has to be somewhat loose so that the wheel can spin, but wish they could design it with some felt on top of it or something to prevent the clanking sound. Otherwise the wheel is nice.

Angle is OFF in the base/stand.
Just got this yesterday. I'm not sure if this is by design, but the angle of the stand causes the wheel to tilt. it tilts in a way so its easier to climb in the wheel, but when the hamster is running full speed the angle causes her to fly off the wheel sometimes. Not good.I taped a small piece of wood under the stand to prop it up a little more so the wheel sits evenly on the horizon. The hamster is able to run much longer, climbing in and out at will as a result of the adjustment instead slipping or thrown out of the wheel.I tried bending the metal stand to adjust the angle but after applying enough pressure it felt like it would break.Wheel itself is silent and spins well.2.75 / 5 stars

Silent Hamster Wheel FTW
Are you tired of just getting into bed after a long day at work, and just as you are about to fall asleep, you hear that grinding noise that is known as your daughters hamster running of its extremely noisy wheel for hours on end. Well, welcome to my old world. With this wheel, I get to sleep and stay asleep while the hamster runs and runs without making a peep of noise with this wheel I just bought. Its is extremely quiet. Its almost inaudible when you spin the wheel next to your ear, let alone it being in a different room. So no more noise from the hamster while she runs on her wheel, which also means, I get to sleep without having to wake up to any grinding from those other cheap wheels out on the market today.

So quiet
These wheel is impressively quiet. The only time we hear a slight squeak is when the hamster slows down to get off the wheel, otherwise, you wouldn't know he was running unless you saw him. Cage is in my child's room and he sleeps through the nightly marathon. We're only on week 2, so I hope it stays this way. Could not be cage-mounted because the bolt is not long enough but still works great on the metal stand. This is a large wheel and we have a large cage. Would not fit in the castle, rocket ship, or house shaped cages.

Nothing like photo, poor connection to cage
The wheel I got does not look like the photos. The middle attachment piece is black and a completely different shape than the yellow dome shape advertised. I’m unsure whether it’ll catch my hamsters hair or not. To those saying the bolt is too short to attach to the cage, that’s because it’s not meant to attach that way. You are supposed to stick the yellow back piece through the bars of the cage and then turn it. There are two problems with this. One, it bends and separates the bars further apart and two, the wheel tilts, wobbles, and hangs at an angle and isn’t secure at all. I had no choice but to put the wheel on the stand which I did not want to do. I’ll be returning this as soon as a new replacement arrives.

Edited: Better than first impression
Edited and updated:I had to cut off a dangerously sharp piece of plastic and deal with a wobbly screw, but once I zip-tied it to the back of our DIY bin cage and made it secure I have to admit it’s not a horrible wheel. It’s actually pretty quiet and our Syrian is enjoying it. Don’t expect a super high quality product! It’ll do.

Great size
Perfect size for a Syrian hamster, the only thing is that it moves a little when is mounted in the stand; it's hard to keep it straight. The stand need to be to low to prevent moves, but when it's like that it cannot spin freely
