Better than comments would suggest
Works great right out of the Box. Don't listen to people complaining about the battery door.. It slides off pretty easily as long as you have an IQ above room temp. First battery goes in backwards. Then top battery goes in same way at the plastic is cut out for. Again.. Room temp IQ to understand this. Mixes PAINT REALLY well.. And it's size fits any size bottle you have. Also the paddle dosent hold paint at all, so cleaning is minimal. For 10 bucks you can't go wrong. Awesome little product.

Works well for model paint
I’ve started making models after a thirty year hiatus and I needed a way to easily and cheaply mix 2 oz paint in a ten year old Airfix model kit. Many jars were dried out and manual stirring and shaking took forever and were not effective. The mixer does a great job without spatter. Slight negatives are that it feels flimsy, and there are no instructions. But it works and is half the price of the Badger brand. The speed varies based on the pressure applied to the button. It requires two double A batteries. If I decide to continue model making, I’ll look at the more expensive shaker style mixers.

I like it alot. Simple and exceeds my expectations
I'm gonna be honest i wasn't having high hopes for this when I ordered it but I was surprised. It really works well and is convenient. Is it cheaply constructed and top notch quality? Yes and no but.....it's good where it counts. The metal shaft is pretty good and simple to clean. I use enamel model paint and you just stick it in lacquer thinner in a jar and turn it on and poof done. Same thing with water and acrylic. No scrubbing or cleaning just wipe dry. It mixes paints like a dream. I think this is well worth the money and then some. Like I said it's kinda cheaply designed on the handle but...who cares? It works. Sometimes the simplest designs work the best. The only thing we have to wait and see is longevity and such but as long as the motor holds i don't forsee a problem.

Turns Itself On
Disappointed because it's exactly what I wanted. However, the plastic cover of the on/off switch rests so heavily on the switch, that the mixer doesn't turn off! This cover can be bent back, away from the switch, but it slowly regains its former position, so the mixer turns itself on again. If you're someone with a bit of DYI talent, I dare say this could be fixed. Sadly, I don't have the time to mess with it and so it goes back.

Garbage waste of money.
This is a flimsy piece of junk. You’re better off buying anything else. Don’t waste you’re money. Horrible contact switch that requires like 50+ KG of force on dynamometer just to get the button to stay active. The head of the mixer fell off before even one actual use and won’t go back on.

Micro-Mark battery hobby paint mixer
I have used this paint mixer several times to mix model and hobby paint. I find it a very simply designed tool, inexpensive and works very well for my needs. It is a little too easy to touch the plastic start switch that makes contact with the flat metal battery connection thus turning it on when you are not ready. But this is an easy fix (this is also the battery cover that slides in place on a rail) slide the battery cover/switch lever off. Heat the plastic a little with a candle flame or small heat source and bend the contact lever back a little to create more clearance away from the metal contacts. This may sound complicated but when you have the mixing tool in front of you it should be much easier to understand my instructions. With that minor detail taken care of I am quite pleased with this little tool and wish I had it a long time ago to mix paint.

Paint mixer
Product worked fine until I had to change the batteries, then it stopped working, so it lasted me for about a year and a half.
