LOWENERGIE Pack of 4 Shower Hose Flow Regulator Restrictor Water & Energy Saving 6 & 8 Litre per min

Simple idea, small, compact and very easy to fit, having changed our boiler to a combination type, the mains water pressure for the hot and the cold water made the total pressure to much, this little device solved the problem with ease, the white restrictor giving you 8 lts per min, and the blue, 6 lts per min, the flow rate is indicated on the box, very good little device.

As per other reviewers this leaks no matter whether installed between the tap and hose or hose and showerhead. Managed to stop it leaking by putting both adapters in, so will try adding a second washer instead. EDIT: bought a 1/2 inch shower hose washer (68p for 5 from toolstation) and put it in behind the supplied washer (with just one flow rate insert) that's cured the leak. Upped the rating from one star to 4 as it does a good job of restricting the flow of the shower so we don't get water everywhere if someone's a bit too enthusiastic with the tap.

Easy to fit. Our shower was using up to 15 litres a minute. Yes I was sad enough to measure it! The reduced flow still gives a good shower but drastically reduces the amount of water used and electricity used to heat it. Job took under 5 minutes from start to finish.

The 8l regulator is great and should save a lot of water for those who stay in the shower for a long time.

The Unit Failed I'm afraid - I tried both options and the unit just didn't work.

I used a meter to monitor the flow its about 7.5l per minuite from 11l. I would have liked it to be 6l to 6.5l hence the 3 stars. Big plus it took seconds to put on
