Before this, I had been using a shovel for my edging. The results were okay but the lines were noticeably lame.This edging tool cuts through grass and dirt like a warm knife through butter. The blade is sharp and strong, leaving a clean edge with every step. It's heavy but not in a "my rotator cuff is going to tear in half" kind of way. The weight actually makes it easier--you simply apply a little bit of pressure with your foot and it does the rest.What's even better is the sound of the blade entering the soil, slicing through roots and grass, piercing meaningless weeds, and filling your ears with the satisfaction that it was money well spent! The guide at the top of the blade gives you an even edge height all the way around your pitiful (but soon to be improved) flower bed.It's a great buy. The Lesche half moon steel edger is as solid as anthing I could imagine buying. It will last forever. Lots of edging videos on the internet. Works just like the pros do it!
