Becoming the Woman God Wants Me to Be

I really enjoyed this women’s devotional, 31 Proverbs: A Woman’s Devotional. It’s simple, meaningful, and easy to fit into my daily routine. Each day offers practical wisdom that feels relevant and encouraging for everyday life. I love how it helps me slow down and reflect, while also strengthening my faith and mindset as a woman. The lessons are clear but still thought-provoking, and it doesn’t feel overwhelming or hard to keep up with. Overall, this is a beautiful devotional that brings encouragement, peace, and spiritual growth. I would definitely recommend it to any woman looking to deepen her walk with God.

A group of us did this book and it's been life-altering for me - not just in the sense of working to become a more Godly wife, but the peace, lightness and softness I'm developing from reading this book and elevating myself. It's well written and I love how you don't have to try to do it all in a day - the chapters are a stepping ladder each day - something new to accomplish as you can. It's not overwhelming at all.

I was resistant, at first but came to look forward to by daily assignment. She gets you to think about the health of your life! Mentally , physically, financially. In ninety days, you will have a strong foundation. I cannot recommend this book and Donna Parties books enough.

This book was selected for the ladies Bible Study at church. To be honest, I didn’t really know what to think about it. I was skeptical because it wasn’t like any of the other books we’ve used before. Once I decided to give it a chance and actually read the introduction instead of being judgmental, I realized this was more of a spiritual self help guide for women. I am not a big subscriber to those kind of books but this one is different. It’s doesn’t claim to have you “fixed” in 90 days but to help you to get a fresh start in a variety of areas that we can sometimes neglect, get overwhelmed with or just get in a rut with it.

Overall I really enjoyed the book. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars just because some of the content, for me, was irrelevant, or a bit much. There is something useful and relevant in every chapter. The thing to remember is that the content here is meant as a guide, to help open the readers eyes to things in their own lives they may not have seen before. This is not meant to say every single thing in this book is THE ONLY RIGHT choice for every woman. Many of the things in this book I was already doing, which was an encouragement to me, and then there were things I had been overlooking that were right in front of me the whole time that I needed to work on, and the book opened my eyes to these areas. I have read it twice, years apart, both in church small group settings. I really like the personal challenges, the guidance to look at my life as a whole and see where I am honoring God and where I need to put in some more work. It can be both eye-opening and overwhelming, especially for new believers. It was a great discussion starter for the ladies in our group. This is not a manual of Christian living that is a must-do check list for everyone, but in general, it helps us to evaluate how are we doing individually in the areas of prioritizing our quiet time with God, keeping our homes and family organized, less chaotic, and clutter free. Are we being good stewards of our time, talents, and resources? The thing to remember is that the Proverbs 31 woman didn't do all of these things at the same time. There are seasons in life, and when you're raising small children, maintaining ideal weight, running a business and hosting get-togethers may not work for you all at that time. Let's be real, no one is expected to be perfect, and while the author's approach may be too much for some people to take in, I believe she comes from a place of desiring to help others become the woman God wants us to be. I would say if you are on the fence about this study, read the book, evaluate yourself, and implement a few things that move you in the right direction.

Das Buch ist klasse! Ich empfehle es jeden weiter. Man hat jeden Tag eine Sache, mit der man sich beschäftigt, um sein Leben einfach schöner zu machen. Da geht es nicht nur um Glaube, sondern auch um Finanzielles, sich von Altlasten zu befreien, ein positives Mindset zu entwickeln, Dankbarkeit und und und. Ich bin nicht streng gläubig, aber dennoch ist das Buch in jeder Hinsicht eine Bereicherung für mich. Wärmste Empfehlung!
