Twelve Inch 80s: Digging Your Scene / Various

I'm just a sucker for some remixed 12 inch 80's crap and this 3 cd set gives it to you in spades. Sure, most of these were not really hits here in the States, but there are enough of the "ones people recognize" and some nuggets they should familiarize themselves with. Wax, Haircut 100 and Fiction Factory to name a few. The remixes are not necessarily danced up versions, but more extended like hey, let's lengthen that sax solo. But whatever, it is flashback city for anyone who was into college radio in the 80's so break out your black eyeliner and Chess King shirts while we smoke a Pall Mall listening to this stuff.

Awesome collection of 12" mixes. I spent thousands over the years collecting most of these mixes only now to pay mere pennies for them in one collection. If I could only turn back time I would have saved my money and waited for these discs. I want them all! The sound quality surpasses my expectations you have with many other compilation cd' s. Get em while you can!

Should be 'almost called worse of 80s music. Second and third disc are just terrible! Cheap paper cover as well! Why so many good feedbacks?

with so many 80's compilations on the market it is hard to find one that is perfect - a lot stick to the likes of the human league, Spandau, visage and the more electronic hits of the 80s that reached the top of the charts.This 3 cd is quite refreshing as some of the tracks may have been lesser hits but are still well known and I found a few that I had not seen on other compliations - at £5.00 for 3 cds you cant go far wrong!!love having the 12" mixes ofpsychedelic furs - pretty in pinklotus eaters - first picture of youfurniture - brilliant mindjapan - European sontoyah - don't fall in lovefiction factory - feels like heavenmost of the others I have but are great tracks!a few strange ones I personally could do withoutbridge to your heart - waxje suis un rock star - bill wymanbut on the whole a great alternative collection!

There were so many 12" mixes available in the 80's - some very hard to source and some only released on impossible to find promo only vinyl. This collection has a few rarities - you just need to spot them.Personally I bought this for the extended version of Bill Wyman's (Si Si ) Je Suis En Rock Star. This CD is the only release where I can find the extended version. Also apparently this track was demoed for Ian Dury. He rejected it and Bill decided to release it himself and hey presto - a surprise hit single.
