Men's Scout Chukka Boot

After owning these pair of boots for 6 years, I can say I’m pretty happy with the quality and how they have held up. I own 3 pairs of Thursday boots and they all seem to be very well made. I think as long as you take care of the leather properly and make sure to condition it and maybe apply a shoe cream to protect the color it’ll actually wear very nice and look better with age. My only complaint with Thursday boots in general is that they don’t offer a whole lot of cushion and there isn’t much space in the shoe to add your own but even still it’s plenty comfortable for walking around in, just not for like hiking or all day kind of walking. I’ve been wearing these shoes as my daily work shoe since they look pretty good dressed up or dressed down. I’ve also worn them when traveling and exploring new cities, dancing around at weddings and parties or just going shopping and I don’t have many complaints as they are a very versatile pair of shoes. I’d recommend these to anyone looking for a solid quality boot that can pair with many outfits but I’d recommend looking at other shoes if you prefer more a rugged boot or need more cushion support in the heel and midsole.

I’ve had these since November 2017 and they still look really good, esp with a little polish. With 10 months of wear the laces broke and it’s got probably 3-4 months before the rubber sole on the heel needs to replaced and it will be well worth it. I wear them at least several times a week and they are the best shoes/boots I have found to transition from casual to business. They’re a little casual for a suit but they’ll work in a pinch. I wear size 11 in Allen Edmonds and 10.5 in these. They were a little loose feeling when new so I ordered a pair in 10, but they were way too tight so I stuck with 10.5 which have molded to my feet and are now very comfortable. The leather appears to be full grain and made in goodwear welt style so I expect them to hold up for several more years.

classy yet understated... there are quality boots/shoes/shoeboots. Obviously they are dress boots and will get broken in regarding the fine conditioned leather. I found the laces too short and will be buying longer ones to suffice my needs. Them stating choosing a half a size smaller is dead on for myself anyway. These are quite lovely, highly recommended. Edit: second purchase for different/smaller size. My foot measures 10.7 inches and previously I'd ordered size 10 which I can wear but they are too big leaving almost and inch room at the toes. SO, I ordered 6.5 which would correspond to my foot measurement, way too small and almost couldn't pull them on, so I returned for size 8.5 and they fit perfectly. These are lovely boots, not too showy but classy and well made. This size leaves about a fingers width room for the toes.

First, and foremost, this shoe hits all the marks for the price. For $150 you get a very stylish, slim looking chukka. The brown color is rich and will age well. The sole has a Dainite style sole that helps with water resistance and traction, as opposed to a leather sole. All around, a solid shoe to fill the gap between casual and formal occasions. The most difficult thing for me before purchasing was figuring out the sizing. I looked at their website and reviews on Amazon, and ordered a size 10, which fit perfectly. I wear a size 10 in my Wolverine 1K boots, 10 D in Allen Edmonds Neumok and Strand, and a 11 in Nike Free Runs. I think people run into trouble when they're used to choosing their shoe size based on shoes that are NOT higher end shoes...? If you know your size for any of the shoe companies I mentioned or others such as Red Wing and Alden, just order your usual size and it should fit perfectly. Thursday Boot Co. designs their shoes in the USA, then has them made in Mexico. If these were made in the USA, the price would go up, but I'd be more than happy to pay the difference. With that said, Mexico is a much better choice than say China. I think the Scouts will serve me well, as long as I give them some TLC, because they definitely do NOT have the same level of quality and ruggedness as Wolverine or Red Wing, and that's okay. These shoes are not perfect, and the quality could be just a notch better, but for the price and looks/comfortability, they're an awesome choice for chukkas. Well done, Thursday Boot Co.

Great looking boot, good quality leather. Ordered 1/2 size down from my normal size and they fit great. They broke in very quickly and are comfortable all day. The brown is a great color and can easily be dressed up, but works with jeans and chinos too.

Beautiful boots, just wish the soles were not so wide. Beautiful nevertheless.

I so wanted to love these but ended up returning them. Absolutely gorgeous and impeccable craftmanship. I need to wear orthotics and since many reviewers said they ran large I ordered my standard size (12). The good news is that they fit fine with prescription inserts, although they're loose around the ankles, which sort of defeats the purpose of an ankle-high boot, IMO. The bad news is the heel is very high (think cowboy boot high), and with the inserts it was almost a 3" lift. Maybe some dudes are looking for that, but don't need it--I felt like I was going to tip over. And as others have pointed out, they are also very heavy, and I wore combat boot for 30 years. I think they might work if you wear under a size 10, but above that the design just gets way too cumbersome.

My favorite shoe and boot brand. This was the first pair I ever bought from them. UNBELIEVABLE.

I wasn't so sure about the limited material/colour options available here on Amazon, but given the absolute ball-ache that would've been ordering from Thursday in the US without knowing my size and risking their returns process which would've turned out very expensive if they were the wrong size, I conceded to get the cognac suede (really I wanted mocca, but none in stock). I have to say, I'm massively impressed and pleased with my purchase, and actually with the shade of brown the cognac come in. Very well made and they feel "special" in a decent-quality sort of way. Though Thursday's recommendations for sizing are specified, I just bought my usual boot size and they fit brilliantly. Now I want more of their range! Well worth the price.

These boots are great. Well made, not perfect. Look great. I wear US 11.5 (2E) in runners and purchased US 11. Size is perfect. Comfortable out of the box. I think a lot of the critics of Thursday Boots are shoe snobs. I don’t want to spend $1000 on boots. Best not to compare these boots to those boots. That being said Thursdays also look super cool compared to to snobby cousins! I’ll be buying more of this companies shoes.

Excellent boot very high quality. I’m a US 8, ordered a US 8 and fits perfect. Still fantastic after a couple of years of use. Just bought another pair in dark brown
