Yes it works.
This is a great product if you do your own gel nails. Just scuff up that top coat good and it melts the gel right off. Scuffing up the top coat is key, without doing that it takes much longer to actually work. Doesn’t work on acrylic that well, but I only messed with that once and it wasn’t slot left on my nails. This machine has made it easy for me to maintain my own gel nails so I can get my nails to grow without the damage of acrylic. Would definitely recommend.

Dies
I returned the first one because it never turned on. The second one worked for a couple weeks and the charger started shorting out and I think it would over heat and not turn on. It no longer works now and I am out of the return window. quality is really low, all plastic and lightweight. for $40 I would expect a lot more. I think the charger is the main problem, the over heating I suppose I can understand but not for that price. I will go back to my soak off bowls. Its a shame because this is much healthier for my nails.

Worked Better Than I Expected!
When you first start it, it takes a bit to get steam and hotter. I'd recommend run a whole cycle and use it on the second run. Dip powder turned wet and rubbery, so I would quickly take a dampened paper towel (dipped in acetone) and wipe over the nails quickly. Work fast as the wet consistency will cool down quick back to hardened dip. Now it'll be like a rubbery consistency- but my tips came off well, as did the dip and gel polish on top of my dip nails. Gel polish begins to crack, so I took a wet paper towel (w/ acetone) and wiped it, then went over it with a hand held filer and all came off. Steamed my nails twice (one or two fingers three times because they were thicker in dip). Worked great!

Works great on nail wraps
I was new to the world of nail wraps. Getting them on was no problem but getting them off was a little harder. This has made changing them out a breeze! Most of the time I now sit and watch tv with a hand in the steamer. Pull it out, give a little push with a manicure stick and they come right off. Swap out hands and go back to tv.

It Depends - No Miracles
I had high hopes for this product, but it all really depends on how many layers of gel you have on and what type of acetone product you use I think. The results are just too inconsistent for someone just learning to do gel nails at home. I wouldn't purchase it thinking your polish will magically curl up and result in minimal to no scraping. As for the poor reviews based on it not working after plugging in a second or third time, I had the same result on my second use. I plugged it in, turned it on, the unit beeped (showing all the lights) and turned off. I then used a different plug and it worked fine, so maybe that issue is more about the cord? I'll keep it, but I won't expect miracles from in it in the future.

Saving my nails during quarantine!
I knew a few days before "everything" shut down that it was coming and I meant to get to the nail salon one last time but, of course, life got in the way. So, I found myself with dip/powder nails that should have been taken off about two weeks earlier. I decided to give this gadget a try and I was pleasantly surprised.I will say you must have a little patience. With the dip/powder it took me about 3 cycles per hand and, from start to finish about 90 minutes. However, it was well worth it! My nails came out looking smooth and not at all how they would have looked if I'd have tried to soak or peel them off.FYI: It was not clear to me that the scraping tools were included so I ordered them separately. HOWEVER, THE TOOLS ARE INCLUDED! All you need to purchase is acetone. It says you can use regular nail polish remover but I'd go with the acetone if you're wearing anything other than "regular" polish.Set up was super easy and pretty much self-explanatory. I love that you just turn it on and it preheats for a couple of minutes and then it tells you when to put your nails in and when to take them out. Each time you take them out, you use the scraper tool to gently scrape off whatever product you have on. As I mentioned above, I did this 3 times per hand (I added a little extra acetone once during the entire process). I probably could have stopped after two times but I wanted to get every last speck of the product off.Considering that nail salons typically charge for taking off product, I imagine I will continue to use this even when the salons have reopened.

Exactly as advertised
This works great! It does take time to steam and rest enough to release my gel. When it does lift it’s easy.

Unsure at this time - Didn’t work on first try 😔
A little nervous when I first opened shipping box. The product box inside was damaged but I didn’t see damage on the steamer.I used 100% acetone and nothing happened. There was no steam that I could see. The bowl was slightly warm. The acetone may have reached room temperature or slightly above. I tried 3 times and after a good amount of scrapping I finally got it off. Using foils was faster. I’ve been doing my own nails for a long time now since most nail salons I’ve tried have no clue how to handle natural nails.I’ve ordered a bottle of Offly Fast as I’ve seen in comments and watched a YouTube video using that remover. I’ll try again with the Offly Fast and update if successful. My expectations are fairly low since there was no steam or heat. I’m hoping to be proved wrong or I’ll have to see about returning and go back to my usual process using foils to soak off.
