BLACK+DECKER 5in1 Floor Steam Mop and Portable Steamer, Corded

I love my steam mop. When the machine failed to work one day, I quickly looked to see if I had a warranty. Why? Because I didn't want to be without my steam mop. So many ways to steam out the dirt and grime without having to scrub. I can also use the shorter attachments to wipe out my oven once the self-cleaning phase has completed. When pet's toss their cookies in a hidden place you don't see for days? This machine steams everything loose, wipes up the mess and sanitizes. If you're a pet owner - you get it. LOL

Hands down my favorite purchase yet for this year. The add was a bit misleading as this model does not come with the steam glove, and other smaller accessories. None of the paperwork it comes with states that it (the steam glove and smaller accessories) does not come with this particular model. I called black and decker and they said they would send me a glove, and accessories, however after weeks of waiting, and then forgetting about the glove, then rembering again and decided that I guess it was not that important a package arrived in the mail. Remembering the glove I opened it to find a set of small accessories that originally came with the model. So now I have 4 mop pads, 4 grout scrubbers, 2 window squeegees with a small cloth to cover the squeegee to use as an upholstery cleaner, and two conception hoses, 2 small round scribing tips with copper bristles and 2 small round scrubbing tips I know one of the small round tips are used for the bbq, forgot what the other is for. I am not upset at this at all as I was going to try to purchase more tile grout cleaners because this tiny light weight machine worked miracles on my grout. They look like they did thw day we moved in almost 4 years ago. Also after steaming my hallway I noticed my house just smelled fresher. (It actually made us realize how Grose our carpet was, so we called a professional cleaning company to clean them.) The water compartment looked small but covers a lot and I mean a lot of ground! (Literally.) Yes some things did not come out with one pass however all you need to do is run the mop over a couple more times, much easier than getting on my hands and knees to scrub or scrape away. The only frustrating this for me aside from taking so long to decide to get one was that I want to get replacement accessories in the future but I am not able to find anything on their website. The owners manual (yes I do read them, I am that nerd,) gives you an 800 number specifically for accessories if you need any help but sometimes its easier to look something up online.

First I want to say, I love this steamer! It is amazing, and I researched a lot before finally buying, because it is an investment! I have been cleaning non stop, however my mistake was I used the handheld first and did not put the full steamer together, had I done that I would have realized that the locking mechanism on the handle was defective and was not working. It sort of looks like it is broken off, so whenever you lift the unit the handle comes out and the bottom part falls with a crash to the floor. I'm going to request a replacement, but its just sort of a bummer. It is so satisfying seeing all the dirt and grime steamed away! I know some people complained that the cord does not lock in place, but that is so minor, not even worth mentioning. This is my third steamer, and pretty sure my last, its so good! I would just recommend ordering extra pads, when you order the steamer so you never have to worry about running out, when your in a big clean!

I really like the options that come with this steamer. We only have 2 floors that aren't carpeted, so we bought this mostly for the handheld part of it so clean things like the bathtub, sink, countertops, etc. It works great so far on everything. It came with a hose attachment and some smaller brushes to clean the hard to get spaces. A big pro with this one is the larger water tank. I've looked at dozens of these, and this one had the largest tank with all of the attachments and features I was looking for. You can do an entire cleaning with one tank of water. The mop itself (and removable handheld portion) aren't heavy at all, the weight comes from the power cord, so when you pick it up at first you might think it's heavy, but with the cord stretched out and in use the weight balances out. Even so, the whole thing weighs something like 7 pounds anyway which isn't bad. It's super easy to use. After you plug it in and turn it on with the button on the side, you can select your floor surface and in less than 20 seconds it's ready to steam clean. It steams continuously until you turn it off, no button or trigger to hold on. The mop pads glide smoothly over vinyl flooring and tile. With the handheld portion you can switch from cleaning the bathroom floor to the tub and shower within seconds. It makes it super convenient.

How did I live without this? I cannot believe how wonderful this product cleans, gliding right across the floor and no scrubbing - just the back and forth motion is sufficient though hard spots might take 3 or more passes, that was rarely needed. Linoleium in my kitchen has never looked cleaner; I also used it on the "shower size" 4 or 5 tiles that are on the bathroom floor of this 1936 house. The grout around the toilet area has been stained since from before we moved in many years ago. Nothing ever seemed to get it looking clean...until I used the Black & Decker steam mop. What a cleaning job. No, the grout doesn't look brand new but it looks antique instead of dirty. The hand held steam mitten appeared to be missing from the box or else it was missing because it is an accessory that has to be purchased separately. I could not find it online anywhere and so reached out to Black & Decker customer service to ask about it. They kindly sent one to me - I had it two weeks later. I have not tried it yet but plan to do so on the kitchen counter tile grout. soon. The water reservoir holds 1/2 liter so if you have a large area that is more than minimally dirty, you may have to add more water to complete the job. I did not do that just turned it off and when it had cooled down and I felt like completing the job, just filled up the tank again.

I bought this in August of 2024 and it just broke. The bottom just cracked when I went to use it. I tried very hard to keep this product. I’ve had two and just made an excuse as to why it did not work. I did this I did that. I’ve accepted that the thing is crappy. Don’t buy it.

Wish the cord were longer

My favorite steam mop died after 7 years and I purchased the BLACK+DECKER B+D HSMC1321 2in1 STEAM MOP. I'm very pleased with my new mop. STEPS I take before using steam mop: I run Roomba to pick up all the dust and debris. I use a different microfiber cloth than the one that comes with the Mop. I spray the microfiber cloth with a diluted solution of water and few drops of Dawn. I enjoy mopping! PRO: mop is flexible allowing easy access underneath furniture. Water gets hot quickly making strong stream. Water receptacle holds 16 oz. of water so I can do half my house with one fill. CON: the mop stand doesn't stay up so you have to prop it so it doesn't fall. There is no light on the mop like my old one. PICTURE shows before and after microfiber cloth. It feels wonderful to have a clean floor!

I bought this product just over a year ago and it only lasted a year. It just stopped working for no apparent reason.
