I ordered what was described as a calabash gourd, and initially, I believed this is what I had received. However, the accompanying manual only provided instructions for curing a wood gourd, with no mention of a calabash gourd. When I reached out to clarify, I received no satisfactory resolution or explanation. Instead, I was sent a PDF version of the same manual for a wood gourd that I already had, along with a message (which I paraphrase): “Here’s the manual on how to cure a calabash gourd.” Upon further investigation (in the advert’s full description section - which, yes, I should have read thoroughly prior to purchase), I discovered that the gourd I received is indeed made of wood, contrary to the calabash description in the heading of the advertisement. This company seems unaware of what they are selling. While their initial response was relatively prompt, their subsequent responses were slow, incompetent, incorrect, and inadequate. Although I should have read the full description and not only the heading, there is nevertheless a conflict between describing the gourd as both “calabash” in the heading and “wood” in the full description. Despite this, I have decided to keep the item, as it is a very nice product. However, I have not been impressed with their customer service since I have not heard back from them again (am I being ignored now?). I had initially started a return on the item, but I am satisfied with its quality and appearance. I would still purchase from this company in the future, as their products do seem to be attractive and of good quality. They should, however, correct their error in this advert and be careful of their description of similar items in the future. In short, the main heading description advertises a calabash gourd, but what they are actually selling is a wooden gourd. They clearly have no idea about their own products.

Me gusto mucho, llevaba mucho buscando un buen mate en Mexico. Buen tamaño (un poco grande), pero me gusto bastante. Muy buena opción

Overall, the product meets expectations. I like the gourd, its size, and its quality. The mate is good after proper curing. However, the bombilla was disappointing, not only because it's a bit too big for the gourde, but also because of its quality. The edge of the straw has some burrs, making it a bit unsafe to drink from. I have a smaller bombilla from the same company another gourd and could easily compare.

This Mate is of really good quality I am thinking that the people that wrote the reviews of it getting moldy did not know how to cure it. You need to cure the Mates for about 3-4 weeks before using it.

Kam heute an, die Bürste fehlte und das ganze roch wie frisch mit Pattex geklebt. Ich habe die Cuja dann erst mal zum Lüften an die frische Luft gestellt. Wenn Sie ausgedunstet ist, kann ich mehr zur Benutzung sagen.
