A good antenna will help
I bought the 2x5m extension. At first I was not that impressed as it did not seem to help much with getting better signal down to the bedroom. I am using this with an Asus modem router. When attaching 2 of the routers antenna to the 2 extension cables, the signal is strong when close to the antenna, but signal strength weakens at short distance. I have an Intel antenna from a pci-e WiFi card, which has 2 connections. This seems to carry the signal much further then the Asus router antenna. So, I would strongly recommend that you shop around for better WiFi antennas to use with these extension cables.. Very pleased I bought the 2x5m extension cables. Images 1.Asus antenna. 2. Intel antenna. With Intel antenna, my mobile phone in the bedroom gets 96mbps excellent (2.4g) And 433mbps excellent(5g) both on full bars. Before using extension cables I only got 1-2 bars. Hope this helps.
