I am looking to increase my grip, as my grip fails at 225 on deadlifts? Shoukd I start with trainer or #1?

I have Walmart medium strength grippers. I do them ok I want to move up but not so much that I can't do themWhat Strength COC gripper would suit me?

I have those walmart ones and they are easy. If you can do a set of 12 it is time to order the CoC "Guide". I would say they are a little tougher than the walmart ones. I read the walmart ones are 50lb and the CoC Guide is 60lbs so that seems right. Great quality. Or get to where you can do 3 sets of 20 with what you have and get the 80's.

Best no to start with

For an adult, normally if a person is ready for serious grip strength training but has not specifically trained with even a plastic-handled sporting goods store hand gripper or done any crushing work, we recommend that they start with the No. 1250 Captains of Crush Trainer gripper, or a No. 1402 CoC Sport gripper. If you have been working with sporting goods store grippers and have worked up into high reps, or if you use your hands daily in a stressful physical task, like construction work, then we recommend starting with the No. 1251 Captains of Crush No. 1 gripper. The Real Deal! Prepare To Be Challenged!

I always considered myself to have strong hands until I took a crack at these! First, there is NO comparison against Captains of Crush! They are genuinely the most well-built grippers on the market. PERIOD! They will last a lifetime without any compromise in resistance. Nor will they break. I bought the Trainer, .5, 1,1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 thinking I would blast through in a couple of months. After 2 months, I'm still working on closing the 1 (140 lbs). So it's a good thing they'll last a lifetime because that's what I'll need to progress through to #3!

Captain of Crush

The Captain of Crush hand grip is strong and well-made. It feels solid in your hand and doesn’t slip. The resistance is tough, so it’s not the easiest for beginners. Overall, it’s great if you want to build real grip strength.

Sehr realistische Widerstände und top Qualität

Ich nutze den Captains of Crush No. 3 und bin sehr zufrieden. Die Verarbeitung ist auf einem deutlich höheren Niveau als bei vielen anderen Grippern. Alles wirkt präzise, sauber gefertigt und langlebig. Die angegebenen Widerstände sind aus meiner Sicht realistisch. Ich habe auch andere Gripper hier, unter anderem mit 250 lb Angabe, und der Unterschied zu diesem Modell mit 280 lb ist deutlich spürbar. Der CoC ist merklich schwerer zu schließen. Den No. 3 bekomme ich aktuell noch nicht geschlossen, es fehlen noch ein paar Zentimeter. Genau deshalb habe ich mir zusätzlich den No. 2 bestellt, um sinnvoller darauf hinzuarbeiten. Mein Eindruck: Wer von anderen Marken kommt, sollte vorsichtig sein. Die Angaben sind oft nicht vergleichbar. Ich würde empfehlen, bei CoC etwa 50 lb niedriger anzusetzen. Wenn man z. B. einen 200 lb Gripper einer anderen Marke gut schließen kann, ist es sinnvoll, bei CoC eher wieder den 200 lb zu wählen statt direkt höher zu gehen. Fazit: Top Qualität, ehrliche Widerstandsangaben und deutlich anspruchsvoller als viele No-Name-Gripper. Für ernsthaftes Training absolut zu empfehlen
