It's corked so that there will be no leakage during shipping. Once you receive the set, you're almost ready to go. Unscrew the cap of the essential oil bottle. Remove the cork/stopper by pulling it out. Screw on the cap. Put in 2 to 3 reeds, which will be enough to fill the room with fragrance without being overbearing.
