Delightful
It really was a delightful story, well imagined, funny repartee and trod the line between romance and erotica brilliantly. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for India Holton books.

Quite shocking
That a respectable women, who is almost certainly not a witch, allows herself to be kidnapped and seduced by a most dangerous Irish pirate is scandalous to the whole of proper society. I am shocked the the very core.

Perfect escapism
Really good fun. Made me smile and laugh. Great main and supporting characters, slightly bonkers with interesting comments on society. Firstborn I've read, will read the others now

Fun read
I have really enjoyed this series of books so far, they are great fun, and am looking forward to the next one.

Disappointingly dull
Loved the premise but the book didn’t live up to it and rapidly grew boring. In a parallel Regency-type world the ‘chosen one’ of the witches meets and falls in love with an Irish pirate in pursuit of an amulet they both want. Some peculiar choices of nouns and adjectives meant the read was also a bumpy one e.g. the use of words like chided or drily didn’t always fit the context in which they were used.

A pile of nonsensical rubbish- and not terribly well written
Dreadful. Trying to be sooooo clever and failing. I have tried to read it but literally cannot finish it. Just crass and stupid. I don't understand what she is trying to achieve.. it doesn'y know what it wants to be... a Jane Austen homage? A Hitchhikers Guide silly name extravaganza... a cheap Harry Potter knock off? Don't waste your money. I wish I hadn't.
