R., García Jr, Elio M., Antonsson, Linda: desertcart.in: Books Review: This book is freaking beautiful!!! - Every GOT fan must have this! This detailed, illustrated history of the Targaryens is everything I ever wanted. It's breathtakingly beautiful inside, and the stories come to life with those beautiful illustrations. It's definitely a worthy collectible and something to show off on your bookshelves! Review: Recommended - If GoT has given one thing to all its viewers, it's the appealing visuals and mesmerizing settings. From dragons to dungeons, kings to queens, wars to battles, everything is visually so appealing that an illustrated book is a keepsake for GoT fans. The Rise of the Dragon is that sort of relic that gives a peek into the Targaryen Dynasty through colours and beautiful pictures. The Targaryen dynasty is a fictional family from George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Originating from the ancient civilization of Valyria, the Targaryens were dragonlords who survived the cataclysmic Doom of Valyria and settled on the island of Dragonstone. Around 300 years before the events of the series, Aegon Targaryen and his sister-wives, Visenya and Rhaenys, launched a conquest of Westeros. Riding their dragons, they brought six independent kingdoms under their rule, establishing the Seven Kingdoms. Aegon became the first Targaryen king of Westeros, ruling from the newly built capital of King's Landing. The Targaryens ruled Westeros for nearly three centuries. Both wise and tyrannical rulers marked their reigns. Notable Targaryen monarchs included Aegon the Conqueror, who forged the realm; Jaehaerys the Conciliator, known for his reforms; and Aegon the Unlikely, who improved the lives of the smallfolk. Dragons were a key element of Targaryen's power. The family possessed and rode dragons, using them in warfare and as symbols of their rule. However, the dragons gradually died out until only a few remained. Aegon III's reign marked the extinction of dragons. In summary, the Targaryen dynasty began with the conquest of Westeros, ruled for three centuries, and ended in civil war and rebellion. Their possession of dragons and complex family dynamics shaped the history of Westeros, leaving a lasting impact on the world Martin created. The Rise of the Dragon is a mesmerising masterpiece that captivates readers of all ages with its enchanting illustrations and captivating storytelling. From the very first page, this book transports readers to a magical realm where dreams come alive and imagination knows no bounds. The illustrations in this book are nothing short of extraordinary. Each page is a visual feast for the eyes, bursting with vibrant colours, intricate details, and breathtaking landscapes. The artist's skill in bringing the author's words to life is truly remarkable. Every brushstroke and every stroke of the pen adds depth and dimension to the characters and settings, making them leap off the page and into our hearts. In the realm of illustrated books, "The Rise of the Dragon" stands out as a true gem, a work of art that will be cherished and treasured for generations to come.

Le livre est vraiment magnifique. C est pour offrir à Noël et je suis sûre qu il va faire son effet. Il est écrit en anglais. Je vais le prendre pour moi mais en français c est sûr. En tout cas je recommande les yeux fermés.
