This brought back my days in Costa Rica!! We had a Tico house guest so I made some Gallo Pinto. He hadn't been home since 1999 and he said it instantly brought him home. He kept talking about Costa Rica after that. That's exactly how I feel about this. Lizano is Costa Rica!! The flavor is wonderful, very bold!!

A tangy, salty sauce with little to no heat but a bit if pepper flavor. So savory and bright at the same time. I can't compare it to anything else because it is that unique. Well worth a try, I will continue to buy this for life.

Put this on everything when I was in Costa Rica this winter. Happy to find that the same brand there is sold on Amazon. I put it on so many things and love the flavor. Pura Vida!

After a trip to Costa Rica, I returned home and ordered three bottles of this sauce, or "salsa" as they call it. I stayed at a couple of different eco-lodges, where this was served mixed into rice and beans. I now make this meal myself, adding broccoli for a little more nutrition. This sauce would also be good on scrambled eggs. Season your food to taste with it. It arrived from the seller on time and in fine condition.
