SWOON WORTHY BOOK!
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake- 4⭐Content warnings: Death of parent, Grief, Toxic relationshipDelilah and Claire as a couple have my whole heart and I love them and their chemistry a little too much! Honestly, this book was so good and cute and adorable! Also, I know you shouldn’t judge books by their covers, but this cover had me sold and I just had to read this book after I saw the cover.Delilah has been invited to her step-sister, Astrid’s wedding as a photographer, she returns to her hometown grudgingly, a town where she didn’t have a good past and while she is determined to keep a low profile, she slowly finds herself getting closer to Claire, who is Astrid’s best friend.I’ve said this a lot and I’ll say this again, I love sapphic romances, they give a different kind of happiness. Delilah and Claire’s meet cute was so adorable, their chemistry was so good and the fact that this book had double POV’s was so good because we got to see both sides. Ashely also really just put some of the right tropes to the right use and that just made the book so much better!I liked Delilah’s characters, her narrative shows why she is the way she is, she’s not really complex but you see her past and you sympathize with the character, her tattoos (cue to drooling) and the way her photography was describe was just too good. Claire also had a difficult past and her character development was also so good, cherry points to her for owning a bookshelf. Also, Delilah bonding with Ruby was really adorable. I honestly loved Iris too, she was the perfect quirky best friend of Claire and Astrid and she made the whole book so bright. Astrid was once again a complex character but the way Delilah and Astrid reconcile in the book is very beautifully done, they have their bitter moments but when everything comes together, it’s very touching. Two things that just really put me off were: 1) that one scene with Ruby when she comes back from her friend’s place. 2) the conflict, the way it really started was just too off for me, more so because of the ‘miscommunication trope’To conclude, while originally the duo was all about hooking up and everything, the way they warm up to each other and learn to open up really warmed me up. The end scene when they get together is so heart-warming. This book with its humor and fluff just helped me out of a really bad slump and I’m forever grateful. I CAN’T WAIT TO READ ASTRID’S BOOK!!!

Still swooning, loved this book
I read this absolutely awesome over the weekend, and I'm still swooning over the MCs and their adorable romance ❤️This was equal parts funny, swoony, wholesome and profound, and it's been on my mind ever since I finished it. Like, I'm literally making art for this book, that's how much I'm obsessed with it 🤍It also gave an amazing friend group, an introspective and growing sibling relationship, andd it dealt with two women dealing with their issues of loneliness and abandonment and moving forward from it. Totally, totally recommend this book to everyone ❤️Tropes, rep etc - sapphic romance between a bi MC and a lesbian MC, grumpy/sunshine, one-bed trope, sister's best friend, single parent MC, found familyAand finally, Astrid Parker aka Delilah's sister's book is up next 😭 I'm so excited for it!
