I like anything about the Medieval Period, and Costumes, Clothing, fabrics etc. it’s a wonderful resource.

This book is wonderful. A wide variety of costume, a great number of historical images, clear patterns and dry wit, this book is a win.

Good for addressing the different styles from peasant to court. Will help some when making costumes for Children, but must do a little more research to determine dress in the 1200's.

My granddaughter loved the book. We are building her a "Library" of Costumes Designing and Patterns for her future as a Costume Designer whether Theatre or Movies. Wherever her dreams take her. My son and grandson are new to the SCA and the costumes in this book are great. They also give instructions on how to recreate them.

Great book with good ideas and plans

The telling point here is that the pictures of their finished costumes look terrible.

This book has several medieval costume illustrated and wonderful descriptions too! Patterns seem easily replicated and has everything from clothing to accessories.

O livro mostra bem o geralsão e não mostra direito como se faz e como eram.. até as imagens são um pouco difícil de entender como era a roupa, fazendo com a a experiência seja bem frustante.

... enfin presque, il faut juste accepter de sortir des clichés issus des films hollywoodiens et bannir les tissus synthétiques.Il faut tout de même connaître les bases de la couture, mais ce préalable étant posé, il sera facile de recréer des costumes féminins et masculins, des différentes classes sociales.
