Pop Goes the Weasel is the song that plays

What is age group (if any)?

I would say, an under 1-yr. old would need someone else to turn the crank that makes the tune & lid pop open. As the baby/toddler gets older, he/she would enjoy cranking it all on their own & making the little bear pop up, so even up to 3 or maybe 4 years old.

Read it was fragile,Did anyone find a way to fix it once it broke?

I didn't find it that fragile. The kids played with it rigorously and aside from a few dents the toy still functions very well. The kids live it.
