for those that have had this runner rug for 6 months or more, how has it held up?

Not in a high travel area. It’s nice but will slide without a pad.

If you've owned this for a while, how has it held up? And if you have elderly dogs, does it keep them from slipping when they try to stand up?

I've had it s couple months and the pet messes fish up beautifully and it's still soft. However, it's NOT non-slip. Even my non-slip backing pad doesn't hold it in place - it just moves off the pad. I wouldn't buy it again.

Is the gold kind of like a yellow and what are other colors? TIA

There is some gold in the pattern of this rug, but is mostly Light Gray, Dark Gray, some Black markings and some Off- White shadings.

Would you recommend using this for runner on stairs?

I wouldn't use this on stairs, as it does not stay in place very well. I use it in a hallway and am constantly having to straighten it out.
