Bad for so many reasons
Purchased one of these from Amazon 2 years ago. I will never buy another one. The first one I bought was DOA. The second one powered up but has never worked correctly. The only AIS signal it will ever send is the satellite signal for long range. When I turn that off, I do not have an AIS signal going out. What's the point. Even worse, ACR has outsourced their product support to some company in Europe. So, in order to get help with the unit, you have to send ACR an email which they then emailed to somebody in Europe who then turns around a few days later and sends an routinely with no answer but more questions. It's like trying to get tech support by pony Express. Never again replacing with a Garmin AIS 800

Confusing product label.
Have not hooked this up yet, but giving 4 stars at the moment due to confusing product labeling.Seller markets as a B+, but the product that arrives is a B. However, when you read the specifications in the manual, it does transmit at 5w and seller claims it uses the newer transmit network (though I cannot find that in the manual or on the transceiver itself).

Unable to register ACR warranty
I'm excited to try out this AISLink CB2 but I'm unable to register it on the ACR site. It asks for my MMSI# but will not accept my valid number. I am guessing that they expect that they have already entered it before they shipped the product. That is not the case. I contacted the ACR support website and they have not replied. I purchased here on Amazon from "The ACR Store" seller and they did not ask for an MMSI#. The description says it can be entered using an iPhone APP. The unit requires a firmware update and MMSI# entry. I am hesitant to do that if I cannot register the product warranty.Edit: After several emails to ACR they finally got back to me. They explained the quirks of the iOS App and I was able to enter my MMSI# and Data and its appears to have worked. I will not be able to test the functionality for a few months as my boat is not in the water yet.

Great support from seller
I have only worked with the product for a little bit, but so far so good. The support from this seller was excellent. I had to have it shipped to Mexico, and their rep. Umesh was in touch with me via whatsapp the entire time to make sure it made it through customs. The item does need a firmware update via a USB thumb drive before you can enter your vessel info via a wifi connection. That was a bit frustrating but the seller and AIS Link tech support helped me through it.

Poor customer service
I admit that I am not particularly computer savvy, but I got the unit to work. However, I changed boats, and thus got a new mmsi number from the fcc. The instructions to request a change of mmsi were unhelpful, and in the end I hired a professional electronics specialist. He gave up, as his email requests for information went unanswered, and he found the staff answering the phone unable to help him. I have now decided to take the unit off the boat, and send it to ACR for reprogramming. That is, if I can fill out the convoluted request to send my ais back for reprogramming.
