Hot Wheels and car fans will love this!
Awesome building kit! Just over 1000 pieces and about 3-4 hours to complete and it looks amazing. A very high quality large scale model of Hot Wheels Rodger Dodger which also comes with the short-carded version to put on a display stand. Highly recommended especially for the price 👍

A cracking set, making an eye catching display piece
Where to start. This is a beast of a set to build, I'm an experienced brick model builder and this was a satisfying build to do. It took around 8-hours to build and the building techniques are pretty straight forward and they make for a sturdy model when it's finished, the only pieces that are a bit loose are the exhausts, but they're not really any bother. Building this set reminds me very much of building the old Lego Model Team sets of the 1990's; full of details and working features, like opening doors to expose the highly detailed interior and opening boot (trunk) so you can see where the Nos (nitrous oxide) bottles are kept for that extra but of boost & speed. I like the addition of the Hot Wheels diecast vehicle in the same colour & livery as the brick model and with a brick stand for it, if you want to take it out of its blister pack. Personally I won't be doing that as the die-cast is a limited edition only available with this brick set. As you can see in my photos, the die-cast can be taken out of the box & put back in and though the brick model is big (L 38cm, W 10cm, H 8cm, approx), by taking the wheels off, the model can be stored in its box along with the instructions & accessories. The instructions are fab, it's a big book, almost A3 paper size and the actual steps are easy to read and understand where the pieces fit together. All the pieces come in 12 clear numbered bags and each bag contains parts for 3 or 4 steps in the instructions. I reckon the build age is about right, though younger builders with some experience should be able to build this set. The only thing I would like to see Hot Wheels & Mega Construx do, is motorised sets like this, building a powered & remote control version of this would be an even more exciting option. In my honest opinion this set is well worth 40 quid, especially when compared to similar creator lego sets.

Fantastic value
This is a great build and excellent value, I’m sure you’d pay £40-45 for Lego and I’m being generous. It’s about 31cm in length once completed so good size. Doesn’t have steering but still lovely.

Best non-Lego Lego
Excited and apprehensive before building this. Mattel have produced a really good building block-style in the same vein as Lego. I have used non-Lego Lego a few times and it has always been a let down, usually because it doesn't fit properly. I was pleasantly surprised with this offering, in fact, it's probably too stiff for some fingers but it holds together well. Can you tell it isn't Lego? Yes, you can see swirls in the plastic and it is more bendy. However, it works. The manual is very similar and easy to follow, quite meaty and probably could merge some of the steps together. The product is a really good size, nice and chunky, well thought out and having the real-deal on it's own pedestal is a nice touch. All in all, it is worth it for the current price of around £50.
