Another excellent thriller by Karen Robards
*Another excellent romantic suspense by bestselling author Karen Robards that leaves us with an exciting and mysterious thriller that has your nerves on edge from the very first chapter to the bitter end! .....Returning to her hometown of Pawley's Island,South Carolina, reporter/journalist Nicole "Nicky" Sullivan was about to uncover a dark and sinister secret. Seventeen years earlier, young Tara Mitchell was found brutally murdered in her house along with the disappearence of her two friends never to be seen again. Nicky was about to turn the clock back in time with the help of her infamous mother, physic Lenora James to finally learn the whole ugly truth not to mention the story of a lifetime. Given orders by his superior to stop the telecast, chief of policeJoe Franconi finds it hard to believe that this psycic can see anything regardlless of her notoriety because for a very long time, Joe harbors a secret of his own,by having his own personal ghost that follows him everywhere he goes. Not only that, he can't even give the order because one look at Nicky Sullivan prevented him from concentrating on anything else. However, all that was about to change when a murder of a young woman occurred behind the very same house in question, known to all as the "Old Taylor House" and the attempt on Nicky's life by the killer himself. As Joe continued with the investigation and the more time he spent with Nicky, he was slowly discovering that he was falling hard for the beautiful reporter, something he vowed never to do. For Nicky, this was her ticket to New York for the big-time but she never counted on falling in love with a smart-mouthed cop of any kind. As the story gained national media attention, the killer emerged killing reporters one by one. For fear for her life, Joe personally saw to it that Nicky had twenty-four hour protection even if it meant that she stay at his house. Little did they both know that their lives were about to take a ninety degree turn. Between more bodies piling up, corruption, betrayal, a traitor amongst their midst and a very creepy seance, Joe and Nicky will not only fight for their own survival but nothing will prepare them for the chilling answers to all their questions and the true identity of a devious, cold-calculated killer...............I loved this book, and look out for a certain "pig' named Cleo!......thank you

Terrific
Good action, romance, a couple goodies scenes, but while parts were very compelling, I rarely had trouble putting it down to do what needed doing. Definitely love all Karen's books, this is no exception

... news anchor for a national weekly show sort of like Dateline or 20/20
Another very different plot by Robards about a news anchor for a national weekly show sort of like Dateline or 20/20. Another suspenseful read by Robards in which you won't figure out who the murderer is until the ending. She has a nice romantic plot with her mysteries.

You don't have to be superstitous to enjoy this one!
Interesting characters (some might say a few weird ones), a good story line,a fair amount of wit, a great deal of suspense, just enough twists and turns and a little romance makes for good reading, and Karen Robards provides all of this in Superstition. I found myself reading faster and faster to get all the answers. I'm sure you will like it as much as I did.
