FoodSaver® Reusable Gallon Vacuum Zipper Bags

Great system to keep food fresh for daily use. Easy to use. I switched from glass containers to the vacuum bags for my fresh dried herbs.

I had been looking at vacuum Seal bags over a long period of time. But really put off because of the size of the equipment to do the bag sealing and because of the waste of plastic When you have to throw away the bag. So when I saw this food saver resealable bag outfit i was impressed by the compactness of the equipment, The simplicity of a sealing operation and the efficient use of plastic. So I gave it a try and got it about 5 days ago. I put some chicken that I wanted to keep inside the first quart sized bag, sealed the bag and put it in the freezer and I did that for 3 bags. The seal is tight on all 3, even after 5 days in the freezer. There is 0 frost inside the bag and all I can really see Is the chicken meat in the bag, But nothing else. So I am very optimistic that this is gonna work. I did one thing that may turn out to be an advantage. I first put a 1/2 lb of sliced chicken in a normal ziploc bag, But did not fully seal it. Then I took that ziploc bag and I put it inside the food saver Resealable bag. And then I pulled the vacuum on the foodsaver bag, and all the air from the ziploc bag and from inside the foodsaver bag also came out. The advantage is that when I defrost The food saver bag and remove the ziplock bag, then I already have the chicken inside a ziploc bag that I can open and close as many times as I want. And the food saver bag never gets dirty Because it never comes in direct contact with the chicken. It should be simple to wash the food saver bags which should last longer by doing that. We'll see how it turns out. 3 weeks frozen, no frost, no leakage. 30sec microwave, then open up vacuum bag, remove food, wash vacuum bag. No issues.

Love this handheld food saver mini. Works awesome, I have the regular version but I love the small, convenient size. I can even use my jar sealer with it and it works great too. So happy with this!

I am a die hard advocate for vacuum sealing food (And Freezing) We have a countertop FoodSaver sealer with the dispensable roll which you cut to desired length which we use for long term freezing for meats. We wanted to apply the same concept to refrigerated items, but with reusable bags. It was just too much of a product waste to use the regular roll A year ago we bought a Food Saver portable sealer. We were disappointed because the bags didn't retain the vacuum reliably, & the hand device would not shut off automatically the bag reached a full vacuum status. So, we abandoned the idea, but decided to give it another try. Apparently FoodSaver listens, because I am certain that was not the only person expressing those dissatisfactions. They have redesigned the bags so that they now have two sealing ribs instead of just one. This helps to retain the vacuum better. Also, the new device will shut off when the container or bag reaches a full vacuum status. The reason that I did not give this five stars is that it has a slight problem when working with anything that contains any liquid. Also, while the vacuum retention is significantly improved, it is not as perfect as the countertop FoodSaver product using the dispensable roll. However, the device itself is a vast improvement over what they had previously. And for anyone who is considering using vacuum sealed bags to extend the shelf life of your foods, this is a great device.

it may not be the name brand one they advertise but I have to tell you, it is the best by far for the money. I love that I can reuse the bags over and over again, nothing like my large vacuum sealer I have that you have to cut the bags open thus making them smaller each time of use. This thing works wonderful and I truly love it.......it is very light weight and easy to handle.....

I like this size freezer bag. When the white label looks ragged, they stop sealing well. I get months of dependable service before that happens.

I really like this mini vacuum sealer. I have a much larger FoodSaver, but this little one comes in very handy for the resealable bags. I really enjoy the convenience of being able to use the resealable bags on items I know I’m going to use often. This thing takes up minimal space and it’s alarmingly loud like my standard FoodSaver. Personally I like the newer bags with the black and green port. I use these for meats, vegetables, and dry goods. They are a game changer. If you cook a lot at home or shop at Costco, this mini and the bags are an excellent addition to your kitchen.

Great little vacuum sealer. Small but powerful enough to seal all food bags and containers. Charges fairly quickly.

Trabajo con diversad plantas y especias, y también preparo mis propios alimentos (frutas y verduras) deshidratadas, que en conjunto con los pruductos FreshSaver, se conservan y combinan muy bien. Tratándolas bien y con mano suave, las bolsas bueden usarse múltiples veces, sellando bien.

My fridge would feel empty without them.

Sadly they don't keep their vacuum, and must be filled nearly everyday to avoid freezer burns I thought they are better than the older generation but Sadly they are not
